The Lion Heart scene that appeared early on the TV in the MV is actually from the teaser of snsd comeback cf. it was actually a different mv but they re-shoot it again and that MV scenes was used for the album pictures I believe.

It was pretty ugly. Nothing ever confirmed but the circumstantial evidence suggested hardball over member contract negotiations.

Great video! In case you didn't know they actually originally filmed the Japanese version of "Catch Me If You Can" with Jessica, however re filmed it after she left the group. The version with her in it was leaked and you can find it on KZbin if you search for it. There's a great video which shows the OT8 and OT9 versions side by side. Makes you a bit sad but definitely worth a watch!

From what I can remember way back in 2015, the little snippet of the dance in the television during the intro for Lion Heart is not actually for the Japanese Version. That is from the ACTUAL FIRST RECORDED MUSIC VIDEO of Lion Heart. The Official MV is actually the 2nd version and was reshot after Party promotions after Lee Soo Man saw that the first MV is a little tacky and boring. They scrapped the first MV and have shot another one after the Party Promotions ended. As you have noticed in the SNSD Comeback 2015 Commercial Teaser, the trailer for the Lion Heart is actually the one in the television during the intro. So yeah, that made sense as to why the MV has suddenly have to be retaken after Party Promotions. So the actual first MV for Lion Heart is still out there with someone. PS. They also never got to wear the costumes for the scene in the television for the intro in Lion Heart during their actual promotions.

I heard the rumor was they already had filmed a Lion Heart music video but deemed it not high-budget enough to some standards and that's why we ended up getting the current Lion Heart music video. Unless that whole concept was just intended for the promotional teaser trailer for their 5th album, I would've loved to see more of those looks in the music video.
