I never stan any group aside SNSD. I always update and listen to music from another groups but never truly stan them. IZ*ONE is the only group that I stan other than my queen GG. They just have the similar feel to GG I just don't know why. You should watch each members performance in the show to truly appreciate them tho. Some members is very underused in the group. But each of them are so diverse. Like each has different strength and weakness.

For french people like me, the part « This is my La vie en rose » doesn’t mean nothing ! If I had to translate it, it would be « This is my “the life in pink” » so it’s strange a lot. They should say « This is my Vie en Rose » instead of this strange sentence.

OMG, finally someone else realized that La vie en rose it's about PINK, while the song is all about red! I actually had a conversation with a Korean that confirmed me that the first time that the expression "La vie en rose" was translated in Korean, the translator had done a very poor job, so he mistook "Rose" as the flower and not the pink colour, because in French they are both called Rose... So basically Koreans have been saying the wrong translation for ages now and no one cared to change that 😅 This is a topic that is particularly dear to me, as I study translation, and the fact that the song didn't match with the meaning of its title just bothered me so much 🤣

After watching your fav song from every group I was like... wonder if he doesn't like or if he just hasn't heard of gugudan... so I was gonna ask you to check them out. I'm still gonna ask cause gugudan is amazing, every song is completely different with a different theatre/movie concept but at the same time I'm mildly terrified if you do cause who knows what kind of translations you'll find for their lyrics XD kpop always sounds ridiculous in direct translations, I laughed so much. Fun fact: la vie en rose was supposed to be a clc song, they already recorded, choreographed and SPOILED it by posting roses and in a g idle live you can hear in the background seunghee, seungyeon and other members singing AND I JUST REMEMBERED THAT IN A EPISODE IN THE ONLY CLC TV SHOW THEY WERE PREPARING TO MAKE A COMEBACK IN 2018(after blackdress)... but cube didnt buy the song in time and off the record offered a higher amount of money (Also iz*one probably wouldn't have had violeta since it was pretty similar to la vie en rose)

I love this group so much!! A collab between the jpop group AKB48 and its sister groups and Kpop!! Ugh this group slays me everytime. My favorite title track so far is Violeta and my favorite Bside is Gokigen Sayonara.

Produce48 actually had 96 participants in it, but it has 48 in the title because it was a collaboration between Mnet's Produce series and the AKB48 Group (with members from several of the Japanese subunits, such as AKB48, SKE48, and HKT48 participating). It's not what Violet's mean but more so the symbolism of the violet flower; giving a violet flower to someone would show the giver's “thoughts were occupied with love” about the recipient. This is key to the message of the song which is encouraging their lover to be more open and show how amazing they are to the world. The La Vie En Rose thing, which directly translates to "life in pink" has a more accurate translation of seeing life through rose-tinted glasses, hence why rose was a big motif throughout the MV and the lyrics, and it links to them wanting to be optimistic rather than cynical. Their lyrics are all very symbolic, but I love all their songs and concepts. I'm sad they'll have to disband in two years tho T.T

Violet is indeed a flower and a color (and a given-name) and Violeta is Violet in spanish and portuguese (and i think other languages as well). I guess they meant the person they love is like a flower to them? That's what i got XD So that's why they want to protect the person. Produce48 actually had 101 contestants like the other Produces, but since it was a joint venture with japanese super group AKB48 and its sister groups, they named Produce48 Sakura, Nako and Hitomi are from AKB48 and sister groups. Woonyoung and Yujin are from Starship, Eunbi and Chaewon are from Woolim, Chaeyeon is from WM Ent (ex-jyp trainee), Jo Yuri is from Stone Ent, Hyewon is from 8D Creative, Minju is from Urban Works and Yena is from Yuehua (some girls from Yuehua that also participated in Produce48 with Yena just had a GLORIOUS debut with a group named Everglow, do check them out!)

I really enjoy your videos like these and the Loona where you look at multiple songs in order! I followed a lot of Produce 48, I like this group I just feel uncomfortable with how they're managed. Like the owner of Produce 48 show pretty much straight up said that the survival show full of girls as young as 13 was like "safe kiddie porn" which is disgusting and like NOTHING happened besides some people getting upset. And I saw a japanese interview with them and the host was making a ton of weird comments towards the youngest member(15?), and I just feel like if this was MY group I was managing, this shit would not fly. I like their songs, they do feel a little more manufactured than the usual girl group but that to be expected with the set up. Their new song is good though.

The title is from an older famous french song by Edith Piaf. It literally means "life in pink", but the expression roughly means "rose-colored glasses" in English, but without the negative association. (Also they do actually say "en" the way its supposed to be. Its a nasal "ahn" rather than "ehn" like in spanish.)
