I've been watching a lot of these Unity tutorials lately and just wanted to say that you do a really good job with these. Super easy to understand for a beginner. And I love that you put in timestamps too because if something you're explaining is just a bit too basic for where I'm at in my learning journey then I can just jump ahead. So, thanks for these videos. I really appreciate them and look forward to learning more from you!

Ive been following along to this series and actually my first youtube member join cuz your so helpful. Like it's also entertaining as you go in the ways you like expect from a teacher vibe. Ive been looking through unity tutorials and several have been solid but like your covering it in a very thorough but also digestable way that is helping it all click into place.Subtle music in the back and the zoom on things and explaining in nice terms and not blazing through it all. Also showing the work in action as you do stuff. Keep up the good work!

Finally that fly is gone... ohh no it's back 🤣 Sorry if I'm joking to much, even tho I'm not actually going to follow along (even if you make me want to, wich you do...) because I'm to busy with my own app to do this project... I'm JUST having fun watching and listening and it's like I was leaning PHP from you. You haven't changed, your teaching skills are still fcn good... just the thing you like make has changed.😉 You are just a great teacher, doesn't matter what you teach! This is why I'm still here!!

Hi, thank you so much for this! it's helped me out greatly! i was wondering if you have a video which explains how to set up a counter for the amount of collectibles you need to collect, for example, the UI shows 0/10 fireflies and that number goes up with each firefly you collect? if you don't have a video on this, do you know of any others that might do? tysm :D

I drag in the prefabs to the scene but when I hit play all the copies disappear and only the original stay. What's the issue here?

Great video! I have followed your instructions up to the part you make the pickup disappear on collision. I have copied your code precisely and I can't get it to destroy on collision. What can I be doing wrong? The script doesn't have errors and the tags are properly placed.

Hi Dani, nice video but I found a problem with my script! When I run into the pickup object, my isJumping it goes to set to true, and can't jump anymore! I solved it by writing if(collision.gameObject.tag == "Platform" || collision.gameObject.tag == "Pickup") Edit: just put the same if of "OnTriggerEnter2D" into "OnTriggerExit2D", there is no need for the tag pickup
