It's a year later. you probably been through a lot already. But I'll say it anyway. If you are buying you have big profit potential, but a low probability chance or profit. Give credit spreads a try. You already got lucky building capital with striking two home runs. A lot of people who buy options lose all their money shortly after because they continue to try an buy naked options. Credit spreads will totally flip the probabilities in your favor and make smaller consistent profits. Learn to do that consistently while still risking set percent of your account on each trade and it will give you a pretty stable income. Credit spreads are premium selling strategies, so instead of paying a premium and hoping it goes up in value. You receive the premium first and hope it expires to zero. The credit you received after expiration is then your profit. Also make sure you are doing this on liquid stocks or an etf like SPY

If you have a small account, credit spreads would dramatically reduce the collateral needed for a premium selling strategy. Plus if both your short and long option expire in the money, you don't have to worry too much about getting say assigned those 100 shares of apple since both your short and long options will cancel eachother out

Yeah think about how these numbers play out when you buy or sell options in your paper trading account. Just pay attention to how they change over time when compared to price changes in the underlying stock. Keep practicing - it’s literally like learning to play a new sport or learning how to master a skill like woodworking first example. Enjoy the process.

Question, say I have a call option for apple 205 strike price option was 2.66 . A day before expiration share was 203.40 , option was 22 cents, if it expires in the money. Do you keep the 1800 you paid for 13 contracts or did it loose value with the option?

If the option expires out of the money (as your example is out of the money) you lose it all If it is going to expire in the money, unless you want to have it executed and a large share position in your account, you would sell before expiration and keep the premium.

If a margin account, yes... if a cash account, no. Cash account option trades settle the next day.

THis would great teaching lesson. i took good notes and can feel good I know bit about stocks. I believe its easier for me to let my bank handle my stocks so I dont be broke. if i have companies all always wanna support, I should buy or hold. like I love Disney Netflix, Amazon, Groupon. im always gonna want a part of company.

Yes, a bit more complex but many people do it. The difference is you collect premium right away and your goal is to have the option expire worthless. www.investopedia.com/articles/optioninvestor/09/selling-options.asp

I do agree with you have written - it's more difficult than it sounds to profit with forex and someone could very easily lose money. Be cautious and take advice from experts who can prove they have made money. I searched a few sites and found some expert advice by searching google on websites like Easy Exchange Blueprint. The first time i heard of option was in one of the books of Robert Kiyosaki, since (consider me lazy) I am not interested in real state and I prefer to invest in one rather than create a company I was always more interested in this kind of investments, but then I remember the stock crisis and read about the options in another Robert Kiyosaki's book and so I am here, wish me luck but i can see with this seminar is soo easy and fun, actually makes me wonder why do people invest in stocks when this is way much safer ? greetings and thanks

Great video. But 38:02 isn't selling puts same as selling stocks you hold for set price (obligated) and buying puts is right to sell stock at lower price (you pay premium for the right but not obligated)

I'm a little confused when you talk about buying the put 2 in the money at $218, then entering the put at 119 at 1:35 pm when the stock price valued at about $217, then selling the put at 143 thirty minutes later when the stock price fell to $216. Were you saying that the premium was at 1.19 for the strike of $218 at 1:35 pm, then increased to 1.43 when the stock value fell to $216 thirty minutes later?

Very good info, but I have one question. Lets say like in your Twitter example. Purchased a call option at 0.30 it then goes up 700% so the contract is now worth 2.10. so you sell the contract. what happens if that sold contract is then exercised? are you now assigned the stock and you have to provide the 100 shares at the $19+ stock price?

You mentioned trading more than three times in a cash account within five days would not violate PDT rule. Would trading options more than three times in five days in a cash account violate the Good Samaritan or free riding rules? Thanks.
