Marie has bloomed like one of her lovely flowers these last couple of years. It's been quite a journey for her and it has been a thrill to watch her journey physically to various places, and to watch her confidence grow strong and to see the glow in her countenance that comes with that confidence. Marie we've watched you dig deep to find your place and I think you really have!, At least for this season in your life! 💐💐💐💐💐💐

This was the best vid yet - I feel positively 'thankful'. It was beautiful in every sense of the word: colours, people, clothes, food, the room, the table, the cutlery, and above all the obvious love for each other and trust IN each other as good friends. Thank you for inviting us all (although, strangely, I still feel hungry🥰).

Hi, I’m always commenting even though I know it is not seen but I still had to comment because you brought back so many memories. I am from St. John’s Newfoundland and we are now Canadian but when I was a little girl we were Newfoundlanders and part of the English Commonwealth. We celebrated the harvest and we always sang that hymn and I loved it and still do. We ploughed the fields and scattered the good seed on the land ,but it is fed and watered by God’s Almighty hand. Thanks for the memory…..

You know Stephanie, it was so good to have you mention our Harvest Festival. It was a big occasion in my childhood in England. Decorating the church, with home made preserves and fresh vegetables, baked goods, etc. and then, after service, we packed everything into boxes to pass to those who needed the extra. At our home there was a special harvest meal and we always had friends visiting. Thank you. Ronnie in Saskatchewan

Fun to see you celebrate American Thanksgiving. As you probably know, your fellow Commonwealth citizens of Canada celebrate it the second Monday of October. In fact, Canadians like to point out that long before the (pre) American Thanksgiving story of Puritan Pilgrims and Plymouth Rock, no less than England’s Frobisher himself celebrated Thanksgiving in Newfoundland after failing to find the Northwest Passage, in the sixteenth century. Decades before the Plymouth Rock story, there were also celebrations of Thanksgiving in Canada enjoyed by France’s Samuel de Champlain and New France’s First Nations allies-the Order of Good Cheer. Joyeuse Action de grâce! Canada, USA, Britain, and France have much to be thankful for!

You even had Turkey at your Thanksgiving dinner! I do not remember this before. I know you have had Duck, but this is very traditional in America, of course. Everything looked so beautiful, the table set so nicely. So much thought put into it all. Do not know if you ever had *Oyster dressing * for Thanksgiving? It is a dressing but with Oysters. My father and my brother always loved it so my mom had to make it at least for them. Now his finance makes it for him, I am not so fond of it myself, but it is or has been loved by many but now sure how many have it anymore at their table? Great to see your aunt and uncle back. John as well. Philip looked debonair. Amaury was his little finger up.. lol (I have been known to do this myself, scary, now must be careful!) Percy even had all the right color schemes to connect with the symbolic Red/White/ Bule colors. The Altar cloths Mummy was busy making, will be so useful and needed for so many years. Vivian and Marie did a wonderful job creating a feast to truly be proud of having at not only Laland but any large Chateau in France! Everyone looked so nice, Mummy looked lovely as well, and Nattie was radiant as were you, Stephanie. Vivienne of course , and Marie! Nice seeing Andi visiting as well. We certainly need to be reminded that we always do have at least one thing to be thankful for and we must take this time to give thanks for wat we have and when compared to what we do not, we may find we have much more than we ever knew to say, "Thank you", about!
@mireille47516 сағат бұрын
As you know, Lalande is located in central France, far from the sea. Oysters need to be very fresh and are not common in this part of France.
