No, not worse. That’s recentcy bias, but not different enough in key spots. One major difference is that Caleb is given the whole playbook to work with, vs. what we saw with Fields and Mitch. Williams is about where I thought he’d be, but he has a stronger arm than I thought (that one where he was going to his left and drilled it for a first, but it got called back was a throw that completely surprised me). We shall see about his progression. What I will say is that he is more of a throwing QB than the bears have had-he’s already thrown more yards in a game than Fields ever has, and it was his third game. Let’s just have him go the next game with more TDs than INTs and I’ll call that a step. At least I don’t feel embarrassed to be a bears fan this year, and that’s with bad play. We still look like a professional football team (remember last year at this time…very different.).

This is on Poles first, we lost 2 (nearly 3 games) force feeding our newest weapon.. overrated swift. Shane is giving him every chance to make poles look good because he is an NPC with no backbone. He is ranked 53 out of 55 main RB's in the NFL, basically swift is the worst in the NFL and definitely the worst RB on the bears. He was carried by the lions his entire career what a wasted opportunity to fix O-line. Shame on poles for this and O-line neglect, you can have misses (Velus, Claypool) but this is paramount to sabotage. Caleb shouldn't shake his hand until he finds him some help, this is CALEBS team soon everyone else is just a dude.
