Given the fact that this has been the lowest scoring season in Blackhawks history, they should probably draft the next coming of Pavel Datsuk in Demidov rather than the next coming of a second pair defenseman.

I would rather have Parekh as a RHD than Levshunov. That's if your worried about Demitov comming over. Would be happy to somehow get Eiserman with the second 1st round pick . But Hage would be nice at 20. Connley is gifted but Hawks won't go there.

If the KHL ever lets him go. Bedard needs help in the next couple of seasons, not 3 yrs. from now. It would be different if the talent fell off a cliff after Demidov but that's not the case.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned the Roman Kantserov interview, where he was asked about Demidov. One of the things he brought up was that there was a chance the KHL would prevent Demidov from coming over here. It's quite possible something got altered in the translation, but it didn't sound very encouraging. That being said, the Kyle and his scouts have A LOT more information on these kids than any of us do, so I'll trust them to pick whichever one is best.

What Kyle owes the Chicago fans first and foremost is their moneys worth. Kane loves Chicago. He may not have left if Kyle wasn't so in a hurry to see him go. Kane could mentor Bedard better than anyone. I think the excitement the fans would have to watch them play would be something to hold them over until the Hawks become relevant again. 3-4 years, 5 mil per. When Kane scored the overtime winning goal against the Hawks as a Red Wing and saw the ovation he recieved, he knew right then that Chicago would not be a bad place to retire and if he gets the chance, he may just say yes. Well Kyle, you need to add some talent. What about it!

@@carolki1315 Kane made around 2.5 mil with Detroit while he was trying out his new hip. I think 25-30 mil for play during his 36 to 40 age would be enticing.

Tried saying this most of the live and people did not like it. Too many variables to draft a Russian at #2 overall. Just look at michkov last year. Second best player in the draft fell to 7 because of the uncertainty.
