We have a lot at yogi bear in Pierceton Indiana and they do this even have a Facebook page for these rocks. Our kids love decorating and finding these rocks. Awesome memorials for your babies

We drove from fort smith to canutillo (outside El Paso) on that road, we topped off in Carlsbad so we had enough to go to El Paso and back in my dads ram 2500

Poor Apollo! The caves look like so much fun.

As much as it wasn't fun to clean up...I feel even worse for him because you know they know they're not supposed to but just can't help it! He got an extra cookie that night! He knows how to work me over with those pitiful eyes and drooling jowls! Apollo that is, not James! 😆

Cant wait for you guys too come to the east coast and lay down some rocks!!!
@TheChicksLife6 жыл бұрын
Heck yes! Can't wait to head that way. I have only been to the east coast a couple times so I'm excited to explore over there!

I'm excited for them to lay some rocks in Louisiana too!

Love the rock idea! I love painting and leaving rocks. Been doing it for a while. There is actually an RV rocks Facebook page where Rvers do this and they leave pics of the rocks from their travels. It is so much fun when other RVers find my rocks!
@LaneVids6 жыл бұрын
I didn't realize that there was a whole community of rock painters. It's such a great idea.
@gillsonwheels6 жыл бұрын
Yes there is a whole community of RV rock painters and a lot of towns have their own rock page as well. So much fun!

The way I remember which one is which, "tights" hang from the ceiling and "mights" grow from the floor up. (spelling???)
@GenericUsername20086 жыл бұрын
You are correct! Stalactites form on ceilings, whereas stalagmites form on the ground. The spelling is the key-- c is for ceiling, and g is for ground.
@LaneVids6 жыл бұрын
Smart way to remember that. I thought I remember something like stalagtites hold tight to the ceiling, but I can't remember what stalagmites was...

My ram Cummins light goes on soooo early also. But it’s cool. I think I have the extra 5.5 gallons for a total of 36.5 or so. My experience is I have at least 8 gallons of fuel when light goes on. You can drive a long way with the light on!

those caves looked so cool. and keep a closer eye on that fuel gauge :) why dont you carry a few extra fuel cans? well looking forward to the next adventure
@LaneVids6 жыл бұрын
the fuel can is a great idea! You could just throw it in the back of the truck.
@kevinwilliams22616 жыл бұрын
We nearly ran out of fuel in Texas on a trip a few months back. I have a 52 Gallon tank in my truck and when we got to the station it took 52.8 gallons to fill it up.
@TheChicksLife6 жыл бұрын
52 gallons! Dang... What kind of truck do you have?
@kevinwilliams22616 жыл бұрын
The Chick's Life - RV Travel 2016 Ram 3500 Laramie Dually. The tank s by a company called Aerotanks in San Bernardino, California. It replaces the factory tank so you have all of the space in the truck bed.
@LaneVids6 жыл бұрын
That's such a cool idea. I've never thought to replace the tank to get more mileage out of it. How much does it cost for a bigger tank?
@kevinwilliams22616 жыл бұрын
Lane Fournerat For my truck it was $995 plus $180 to install it.

Not an RV'er but whenever I go on trips even a work trip once, I planned all the gas and bathroom breaks! More out of fear of having to go on the side of the road lol but also running out of gas. I literally follow the roads we are taking and make sure there's a bathroom and/or gas every 30 mins to an hour just to make sure if we stop at one and there's not one an hour after that to really plan ahead and make sure bathroom or gas breaks happen before that stretch. I don't even have children but I'm glad I have an obsession with being prepared now because the idea of kids needing to go to the bathroom or running out of gas sounds much worse than just me needing either of those haha! So glad y'all made it! I also appreciate you making the audio match the entire video! Some don't especially with music that doesn't fade in and just blares in your ear! Caverns were so cool! I feel lucky even though I can't go see these things in person, that I still am able to see the beauty of this earth!
@TheChicksLife6 жыл бұрын
That is amazing! I don't think I've ever planned any trip out in that detail. Ashley on the other hand I can picture doing that! lol. Thank you so much for the positive comment, you don't know how much I appreciate knowing that some people see the time I take in editing these videos!
@FlightDeckWeatherTower6 жыл бұрын
Well of course! It takes hours of editing to get these short videos put together well! A lot of times I find it's those who experience the editing process tend to find little joys in the small details. I commend you for editing on the road! It's been fun watching how life has been changing for Y'all! If only I could bring my horse with me RVing and not feel like I'm ripping her natural environment and routine apart! So when does moving a plot of land without feeling like its being moved become a thing? Wishful thinking!
@LaneVids6 жыл бұрын
When we take road trips, we make sure to plan for bathroom breaks as well. It's definitely important with kids. I guess that's one plus to having an RV, you carry your bathroom with you! :)
@FlightDeckWeatherTower6 жыл бұрын
Lane Fournerat I bet that is amazing! You stop anywhere and you never have to worry about the cleanliness of a gas station bathroom! Minus their dog incident lol

Generally the amount left in the tank is around 10% of the total amount as a reserve. So a 15 gal tank will have 1-1.5 gal left. This varies by manufacturers. I too am claustrophobic so I don't do caverns or caves. Kinda like the rock idea.
@TheChicksLife6 жыл бұрын
That makes sense that means we would have about a 3 gallon reserve. Ash is pretty dang claustrophobic too. But some how she managed to tough it out for the kids. She doesn't want to accidentally pass off any of her fears to them!

Those cave look incredible! I'd have a very hard time staying quiet as I walk through, but I wouldn't want to cause any sort of cave-in. That auditorium section though looks incredible for any sort of ceremony or performance. 🎭 I love your painted rock pirate hunt idea! I think it's great when creators leave their mark in various places for their viewers to find. It adds an IRL element to KZbin that makes the online interaction more meaningful.
