I've known someone like this! The word narcissist is definitely overused, but she might qualify. It's her wedding, so she's understandably going to be the center of attention. Her mom has a friend who makes beautiful cakes, who volunteered to make the cake for free of charge. My friend, of course, asks for a very difficult cake, taking advantage of the kind offer. During the process of making this cake the the cake makers husband is diagnosed with advanced cancer, and he's given months to live. My friend declares she still wants her cake, and is in fact doing the cake maker a favor because making the cake will take her mind off of her dying husband. Her husband soon passes. The cake maker delivers the cake to the wedding (is not invited or offered a meal even though she's friends with the brides mom) but is still expected to cut and serve the cake. Me and the other brides maids helped serve, because this poor lady was having a tough time. I guess maybe it doesn't sound that extreme, but the entitlement my (now x) friend had was almost scary. She would definitely be jealous of the mother of a deceased child at a funeral, and would make it about herself.
