After 100 episodes of letting others show off their improv skills, Chris Gethard absolutely nails it when he steps up to the plate. I remember skipping most of this on my first TCGS merry-go-round- it's an incredibly different energy to the usual convivial atmosphere- but it's really well done. As someone lumbered with a couple of Conspiracy Gary friends and family, it's good at least having the option to pause the soapboxing.

I've seen all the 93 shows leading up to this, the 2 Christmas specials, and the 12-hour Election special, and this is the first episode that really didn't work for me. It appears I'm alone in not liking it. And I love making fun of conspiracy stuff usually! They should try it again, because it's so good in on paper. If they can't get Jesse Ventura (James Adomian) to appear with them again, I'm not sure what the point is. I guess that's why it was for me so disappointing -- it needed a heavy dose of Venture to ground it.

Really did enjoy Mimi and Murf's bits, though. They brought their A games. On the whole I've gotta dissent and say this was a botch, on par wih the first Human Crane episode.
