Great video and clear graphics….gonna give this a try as the polysand I used on my pavers over a year or so comes off when I power wash it yearly and now every time it rains I get sand all over the furniture and stones.

Thank you, this stuff sets up very hard, not sure how it will hold up under a pressure washer though. I know any polysand that you install will get blown out if you pressure wash them. Unfortunately that just happens... They sell cleaners that you mix with water and use a brush with, then just rinse off the pavers once your done brushing. not sure if that would help in your situation... ✌

Do you just hit the pavers with a compactor before using the ez sand? Assuming with the wet application the sand probably gets settled without vibration.

Worked with this stuff it’s good but make sure you don’t leave any of the water residue on top, especially on lighter colours like kandla greg even if it seems very watered down it will leave greasy stains on your paving. Found this out the hard way.

Another great video! Dude...did you freak out at the owner for getting seeding into the pavers before they were jointed? 🙀 I know this material is supposed to require more work with smaller joints. I've got a paver body with Techo-Bloc Blu 60 Smooth, which has a reasonable 1/4" gap, and their Victorien pavers (basically Holland) for the soldier course, which has a much narrower gap. Do you think this product would work with that setup or do the tight joints on the soldier course make it a no go? 🤔
@TheChristianHardscaper
@TheChristianHardscaper 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, unfortunately the hydro seed guys were to blame for that…. Not a huge deal though, some extra clean up before hand, that’s all. This stuff will work fine for the Blu 60, a little more difficult with the Victorian joints….. I think you could make it happen but polymeric sand is better for those tight joints. ✌🏻

@TheChristianHardscaper
@TheChristianHardscaper 2 жыл бұрын
I think this sand is excellent, but very expensive…. Also, you need a good size joint for this sand to work right. If the joints are less than a 1/4 inch, this stuff doesn’t work well. But if the joints are wider then 1/4, it’s excellent ✌🏻

If cost wasn’t a factor would you choose this over polymeric sand? Which will last longer also? Thanks for the videos 👍🏻
@TheChristianHardscaper
@TheChristianHardscaper 2 жыл бұрын
If cost was not a factor, i would use Easy Joint as much as possible. It hardens like crazy.... But something to think about is that Easy Joint only works for somewhat wide joints, if you have small joint lines, this product will not work to good. Poly Sand has finer sand in it to allow for filling tight joints. Easy Joint has bigger sand particles in it, preventing you from filing tight joints. Other than that, this product is an A+
@megansmith1382
@megansmith1382 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheChristianHardscaper Oh man but what about the excess sand that got brushed off to the sides? Will that just harden and u can break it off and take it away or I guess u could clean it up before it hardens but idk if you did or not? @TheChristianHardscaper
@TheChristianHardscaper 2 жыл бұрын
This product cures hard as concrete. You may have to use a 4.5 inch grinder with a diamond blade on it to cut the joint sand out… that’s about the only thing I can think of….
@CageyLeigh
@CageyLeigh 2 жыл бұрын
Your statements seem a bit contradictory. It gets really hard, but it lets water through? How does that work? Also, how do you clean up the sand that got rinsed off onto the side of the yard and flower garden?
@TheChristianHardscaper
@TheChristianHardscaper 2 жыл бұрын
I guess they do if you don't understand how hard things can be permeable. Even concrete allows water to go through unless it is sealed or painted..... Regular polymeric sand for paver joints harden, but also seal to prevent water from going through. This Sand I am using in this video is made of slightly different polymers and different sand particles which harden, but also remain slightly permeable. Allowing water to slowly permeate through the joints and down into your base layers. The extra sand on the edges can be easily cleaned after you finish installing the sand. ✌
