Yay for Cal/SoCal they need all the help they can get on every front! Snow in mountains, precipitation over the dried out LA basin. Just hope it’s not more than they need over the burn areas.

What happened to TEN DAY FORECASTS? Now we are getting just Three days!!!! Missing those good old days Chris!

The 10 day forecasts are useless this season. The models start showing huge numbers only to dwindle as we get closer.

@@je5406negative, after the snow on 2/1-2/3 the high pressure is most likely coming back east and parking right back where it was off CA. We will be high and dry from 2/3 - 2/14

Puking here in Colorado Springs, I didn't think the storm would stall out in Northern CO. Snowfall rates are 1-2" per hour. Forecasts said a trace to an inch, not several inches!

Hey Chris, I’m curious why you have pretty much gotten rid of your extended range forecasting. In past years, I remember seeing the extended range map for the west extending 7-10+ days. I understand there is some inherent risk with forecasting this far out, and sometimes systems don’t pan out. But as someone who chases powder, your long-range forecasts were very helpful in past years to help gauge pattern changes. Hoping we can see more of this again soon!

He doesn’t reply to comments even tho I have donated numerous times. My best guess is his employer has changed and he no longer has the resources to make those models/predicfions.
