He's a player that shows that stats doesn't tell the whole story. He only avg. 23 ppg & 7 ast. But when the big games come, you can throw the stat sheet away . #MVP
@BOBJOEGUYDUDEMANDUDE9 жыл бұрын
Bk Takover He didn't need to play in a lot of 4th quarters during the regular season. That would explain the lowness of his stats. He also has a great team.
@muddnorris43069 жыл бұрын
The advanced stats show Curry was the best player in the NBA last season. Led the league in WS/48, total win shares (regular and postseason), VORP (value over replacement player), and box +/-. If you're talking cumulative stats , he also led the NBA in steals, 3 pointers, FT% despite playing under 33 minutes per game. And he shattered multiple 3 point records, including beating Reggie Miller's postseason 3 pointers made record by a whopping 40. So the stats actually do illustrate quite well how dominant Curry is, to the more statistically savvy individual who looks at efficiency stats, and not just volume stats.

Steph had a bunch of haters coming into the L in 2009. Someone compared him to Juan Dixon. No disrespect to Dixon; I liked him at Maryland and he overcame a lot of adversity in his life to get to the NBA, but that was kind of harsh. Guys drafted before Steph: 1) Blake Griffin. He was by far the most sure thing in the draft, and he's a perennial All-Star, so cool. 2) Hasheem Thabeet. You can't teach size, but you also can't teach heart and toughness. 3) James Harden. Close 2nd to Steph for MVP, although with Houston, not OKC. 4) Tyreke Evans. Solid career so far, but not mind-blowing. 5) Ricky Rubio. 2 year delay. A lot of hype coming in. Having a nice career as a pure point guard, but not taking over the league. 6) Jonny Flynn. Unfortunately injuries have derailed his career. Could have been at the very least a decent backup point guard, IMHO Griffin and Harden are the only 2 I could justify taking over Steph, but otherwise Steph is the best player out of this draft.
