I hate to be that "lecturing person," but there is no "accompanist" in this piece. It's a duo. He is the "pianist."

New Music Kitties I thought the accompanist did fine supporting the solo clarinetist, although he could have been more quiet at some points. It is the clarinetist 's performance after all!

I'd much rather hear more of the Clarinetist in the piece than the accompanist. It's not the accompanist's performance! The clarinetist is the one who is the main focus as a soloist. There are plenty of solos the accompanist can play, but this is not one of them lol.

This is a very hard work (all movements) to play musically. Most recordings I hear are too fast and monotone. But you did a very good job here. Musical and flowed well bravo
