For a clean mascara that doesn’t run, I really like Tarte Sea Surfer Curl. My skin is oily so I can’t wear the Milk Mascara. It goes on absolutely gorgeous (like I looked like I had my lashes done!) but it runs under the lower lashes AND I have slightly hooded eyes so it smudged above too!

I just purchased the Merit and Ilia mascara during the Sephora sale. I have not opened them yet because I need to use up my EM Cosmetics and Honest Beauty mascaras. EM Cosmetics I will not repurchase, too wet. But I have enjoyed the Honest Beauty for both top and bottom lashes and a primer is included. Can you please make a video sharing the best of Ilia. They have their annual sale coming up and I have never purchased any products from them, except the mascara, but you’re always speaking highly of the brand and recommending products. @@TheCleanBeautyCode Thank you. It sounds like you may be doing a Bronzer roundup. 🤩However, I recently purchased the LYS bronzer in Harmony. I have not used it yet. I’m still undecided. I’m like that. Lol. Do you prefer Arrive, LYS, or the Ilia bronzer?

I love the cleaning off the wand before using it, it makes such a difference! Clean mascaras are really expensive here so I'm waiting for sales to try a few more, but I've only tried rimmel kind and free and it's actually pretty nice. It's nowhere near as great as the regular mascaras (my faves were maybelline big shot and loreal paradise until i read about the hazardous ingredients 😒) With the rimmel though, the brush sucks, so i kept the brush from paradise and use it then thoroughly wash it with hot water and soap after and reuse it again and again, a better wand makes a huge difference! I also won't use clean mascaras on my bottom lashes coz of the smudge. Thank you for the review!

If you have access to Jones Road Beauty def check out their mascara! It is amazing and one of the best (clean or conventional) mascaras I’ve ever tried!! 💚

Eye of Horus goddess mascara! It is definitely waterproof, smudge proof, long-lasting and super gentle for sensitive eyes. Only downside is Eye of Horus is an Australian brand and I don’t believe any United States clean beauty retailers carry it. So I buy it from their site. Hopefully Eye of Horus will eventually be available from some clean beauty retailers in the states.🤞

I LOVE the lily lolo one! Gives my fake lash look! But I found that it does run/flake and give me dark under eyes at the end of the day so I think I’ll try and switch to Merit! Thanks for this review 🥰

For the lily lolo mascara try cleaning off the brush and see if that helps? For the WA mascara that was the trick that made the mascara stop flaking for me! The merit one is really great!! You don’t get the fake lash look with it as much as the lily lolo, WA, or bite beauty mascaras but it gives a pretty lash look 💚

I love the Ilia too! The one thing about it is that it expires quick. And when it does, the smell of it makes me feel sick. But hey- at least I know when it’s bad! Haha

I totally get what you mean by the smell! It kind of smells like a pool to me when it goes bad. But I'm happy I know when it expires because with other ones I never know.

I’m trying the Ilia mascara. I like it, but I struggle to not poke my eye with the comb. User error all the way, but I do get a tiny bit of flaking. I heard raves about the Jones Road mascara (Bobbi Brown’s ‘clean’ makeup), but it flakes like crazy on me. The tube also dries quickly. I’ve used Lily Lolo and really liked it. I have a tube of Honest Beauty waiting. I really want to try the Merit now, as well as Bite Beauty. I mostly liked Kosas, but again, some flaking. I guess I’m still searching for my perfect mascara. 😊

Yess, the ultimate quest is perfect mascara. Kind of like the perfect pair of jeans 💚 it takes a while to find the perfect fit!

Kosas is my fave, but Ere Perez doesn’t run on me either. Both of those require that I remove them with cleansing balm or oil.

I like Super Hero by IT Cosmetics and KVD Mascara. I can only use Mascara's that do not have Carmine in the ingredients. If Carmine is in the ingredients I'll get an allergic reaction and my eyes will be blood shot red for days as well hurt and itch. It's awful!! So now before buying I look at the ingredients

The Ere Perez mascara is the only one that can really hold a curl all day long and it doesn’t run or flake at all.

Have you tried the thrive brand mascara? It gives me a false lash look and washes off so easily but doesn’t give me any volume so your video is so helpful! Xx

Yeah waterproof can really irritate my eyes! It really will depend on the brand for me
