New Application Impersonation Rights for a Microsoft 365 Migration using MigrationWiz

There is a new requirement inside the BitTitan MigrationWiz product to change they way that we perform the setup for a Microsoft 365 Tenant for a migration.
It still uses Modern Auth as it did previously and this new requirement builds on that protocol.
The change is about the deprecation of the ability to perform 'Application Impersonation', which we would normally do in these types of migrations. There is a new way and this is what I will show you.
What I go through in this video are steps you need to perform to configure the MigrationWiz project. I create the following;
Initial Project Setup
Link to Microsoft 365 Tenant
Create the Application Registrations (ModernAuth)
Create the Management Scope in Exchange Online
Create the Required Service Principal
Create the Management Role Assignment
Show you how what permissions to add to the App Reg
Create and use the Client Secret
All of this inside a short sub 15 minute training session.

Does the same apply for Google Workspace (Gmail) to Exchange Online Migration?

Yes it does. The impersonation rights are needed at either side, source/target, for the M365 componetn.
