I think this is the best position for Gareth Bale in relation to the positioning of his team mates where Bale can do most damage to the opponent because this position allows him to assume the role of the second striker as well as put him in positions to deliver lethal accurate crosses. In sum, Bale in this position is most lethal because he will always be in attacking mode because the back 5 will free him of defensive role.
