I really like my series 7 and the fact you can change the battery after 10 years use and then keep on using it is so much better than putting it in land fill. Thanks for the clear well made video. I needed to see it in order to do it!

My 10+ year old 7 series is still going strong. I don't charge every day, I let it run down. But it's good to know how easy it is to change the battery. It really does make sense.

For some reason batteries last longer when they stay in their mid power range. If you charge a battery to say 70-80% capacity, it will last a very long time.

I was worried mine was gonna die eventually because I have mine for 10+ but this is so nice to know I can replace the battery when the times come.

I liked my 760 so much I ended up buying buying two 790cc "Wet and Dry" model because my 760 motor seems to be going bad "Not Battery" It is over 12 years old and I used it for only head shaving, which is more work for the razor than face shaving as I still have a lot of hair on top, just got to thin for my liking. I ended up getting some SMP work done on my head and these 7 series models are by far the best.

I left my Braun series 8 in my car over night and it was about 109 degrees outside and now my shavers don’t hold a charge anymore.. is it the battery you think or motor? And if it’s the battery do you know if this is the same battery for the 8?

I "assume" so as my 8985 battery is dead but the device still works when plugged into power.

Hi, for Series 5, it seems they run with 2x 49mmx14mm NiMH batteries - so, before you order, better have a look! Oh, and, yes, they need to be solderd into place...

Do not waste your time, trying to replace the batteries they are tech welded in and the connection will rip the battery connector out of the circuitboard

it also isn't valid for a Series 8.. it has a dual-battery..
