"some lipstick-on-a-pig cover": heh heh, so true; or blank covers where you pay more than for the regular cover but get absolutely no cover at all.

The local legends, LIVING DEAD COMICS!!!!! love seeing leigh and the guys at Megacon these past years, i remember when they only did smaller local conventions. True testament to how much a shop can grow when the passion is real. Love hearing the big guy spit that old school knowledge and tell it like it is. Awesome booth set up as well!

Leigh from Living Dead comics is spot on about these new comics with 50 different covers. 60s to 90s comics are my thing.

Hi Guys, great video. I've been enjoying your content for a couple of weeks now. Interesting to see the exclusive sales and these interactions on cons. What kind of equipment are you shooting the videos on? The image is good, but the sound is very good considering how much noise there is on a con. What kind of microphone are you using? Thanks!

I've dealt with the Moving Pictures vendor early this year in Macon. His comics were priced high, but he was really good about dropping his price if you bought a few issues from him. I hope to run into him again.

Vampirella 1 and 4!! 🤤 4 is the hard to find one, isn't it? Or is that 3? Either way, I would have tried to haggle for those 2. Argh, that's probably why I'm not a millionaire, though. There are too many great books to get!!😢

Clayton Crayon... coloring gimick covers all day long. anything to get a buck is what i see imo. Example: Next he'll have X-Men's Beast standing next to Yogi Bear. Its like the Ethan Hunt of movies, he makes it into a block-buster and your like....ahh crap - well anyways... looks cool so I'll buy it or watch it.

Why the hell was the first guy keep throwing the comics to you?? He was dropping them hard like he didn’t give a shit lol
@jonr26910 ай бұрын
Not sure why that guy was so afraid to open and look inside an AF 15. Even if it’s 37k. If I’m selling to someone, I want to make sure the book is complete, otherwise that makes your business look scummy and get a bad rep if the book is missing pages and such. I’m a comic book presser and have worked on lots of major big keys with one recently going on sell at heritage auction. Like the last guy said, you can’t be afraid to open the books your selling even if they are super high dollar. In the end it’s a book and you need to just know how to handle them and not treat them like a new paper with throwing it around.
@joey_diaz_clips10 ай бұрын
I think i know the person they're talking about, cant remember their name but he's got alot of key books like af15, some xmen1's daredevil 1's alot of that kinda stuff but ive heard he does restoration work on em but doesn't advertise the books as restored which is a bit of a problem
@jonr26910 ай бұрын
That’s horrible if he’s doing restoration work on them and not telling people about it when he sells them. This is why I went into comic book pressing/cleanjng. So when I go look at books that are high dollar, I can more easily spot restoration and such. Also why many of my clients have me look at their books to work on and let them know if I see any kind of resto. Which I’ve had a few here and there pop up. But it’s usually big key books I’ve found it on like Hulk 1, X-men 1 and such.

GRADING is a total waste of money ...why not spend the money that these grading companies charge to buy older RAW BOOKS... HEAD SCRATCH
@stefansnow438610 ай бұрын
Good point, but the display on a graded book is the appeal for me... in addition to the validation of the grade by a major grading company helps take away the guessing game.

@BGJinxa10 ай бұрын
Not really depends on the book you get graded you can increase the value of your book by a lot doing so.

You shouldn't just be comic book dealers/resellers. broaden the products that you sell in the hobby world. Research, study and sell toys too. Sell Anime an Manga products, they are huge and can make you rich! Expand your business. Did you know that a huge percentage of your KZbin viewers is actually not from the US but from Asia? From Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore? They consume comics but they love anime more. Reach to that market. Did you know that there are 7.8 Billion people in the world and the majority, 4.7 Billion are Asians. To be successful in any business, you must learn how to capture the Asian audience and consumer like Nike, Apple and Starbucks. What are the most successful hobby shops in the world? Research it and try to copy their success. You and Sarah will be rich if you succeed.
