I had a friend who made this deck. It was *mostly* made to capitalise on the odd cmc spells - save for the artifacts. He had a low cost equip engine in the deck, which was an alt wincon for just in case. The deck was really good, and extremely painful if he managed to ramp. Skitheryx turn 4... Ouch.

Building Thryx, the Sudden Storm is a fun deck in itself. I made it a sea monster deck with lots of fun Krakens, Leviathans, and Octopus and Sea Serpents etc with some of the biggest spells in blue.

At one point I really considered making an Egypt themed Yennett with the only cards NOT from Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation were lands and other sphinxes but I couldn't find much synergy other than sphinx tribal, which kinda sucked as most sphinxes were even cost. If anyone could find a way it'd be you, Mitch.

Esper, Naya, Sultai, Bant, and Mardu are usually super boring for me, being motivated to build almost none of the commanders in those colors. Yennett (Cryptic Sovereign) has some interesting bits here and there, but like Kadena (Slinking Sorcerer) (morph 'tribal'), I'm a bit on the fence, even though I have most if not all of the pieces for both. I already built Rubinia Soulsinger (Bant control, faerie tale vorthos with Oko in the 99), and I already built (and recently edited due to deficiency in draw power) Licia (Sanguine Tribune) (life gain 'tribal'). With Commander Legends and the Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow pre-cons, I finally lucked out with Naya to build the free-style partners Kamahl (Heart of Krosa) and Bruse Tarl (Boorish Herder) with the theme of tokens, with at least one nod in the 98 (partner) to the Trostani Embalm 'tribal' deck tech. Sefris of the Hidden Ways is the closest I've come to really wanting to build an Esper deck. Hopefully Streets of New Capenna will finally help get my foot through the door.

Remember when making this deck. If you want to cast big bad things off the top for free, there is a downside... If your opponents keep yennet off the battlefield, it's gonna be a long game. Protection is key, swiftfoot boots, lightning greaves and whisersilk cloak are big contributors in my Yennet deck. Once the deck goes off once, people get wise on how to shut you down. Or at least they should. Lol.

I have a yennet deck with one even costed card, scroll rack. Unfortunately the couple times I've had the chance to play it, I got targeted because I guess she's a cedh commander. I had only been playing magic for a couple months and just thought she'd be a fun commander and I wanted to do sphinx tribal. Lesson learned I guess

Yennett really goes off once you start having stuff like Scroll Rack on the deck. Bonkers. Also, you don't need to limit the deck to only odd cards, what you need is the best top selection you can get
