Joan had the loveliest diction and pronunciation and her confidence and manner of speaking are just so perfectly poised, relaxed and effortlessly classy. The very manifestation of a star in the classic sense. Not to mention her sophisticated beauty and grand bearing. They truly do not make movie stars like her anymore and likely never will again. An American film icon. ❤ Also notice the highly reverential way in which she's addressed by the interviewer. He is clearly smitten with her. At this stage, she had indeed earned every bit of the reverence and respect accorded to the very veteran stars of the industry. This is truly a joy to watch.

Amazing that you have the full footage of this!! I love this interview of Joan. "I love gin rummy. Are you good?" The Concluding Chapter of Crawford website has a color photo of Joan from this appearance! Her outfit was PINK with green details! And you can see her tan, with more freckles. Her hair is also blonder, probably from being in the sun, as red shades fade quickly. 🙏💛
