Take for example, Antonio Caponigro. Consigliere to Angel Bruno who turned traitor and ochestrated the killing of Angel Bruno. Another unsanctioned hit that Antonio Caponigro and his brother in law, Alfred Salerno, paid for with their lives when the Commission laid down the law.

Eleven reasons Paul Castellano was killed, according to Sammy: 1. Paul cheated with his maid under the same roof as his wife. 2. The cop comment- "The cops are the real heroes." 3. Paul killed his brother-in-law (who was a known junkie in possibly a rat). Paul would kill Sammy if Sammy retaliated. 4. Killing Gambino Capo Piccolo from the Connecticut faction. Paul agreed to kill him on behalf of the Genovese family. 5. Paul was under indictment by the district attorney or the FBI. There were recordings of him talking about his crimes. 6. Paul had a penile implant (the soldiers found it funny and weak) 7. Paul owed about 200k to Sammy the Bull and never intended to repay him. 8. The DelaCrocce faction complained that Paul kept all the money to himself. 9. Gotti's crew was under indictment for selling heroin, and we're going to get killed by Paul. Sammy decided to save them so they could move up the mob ladder of power. 10. The DelaCrocce faction did not like the white-collar crimes led by Paul taking over the Gambino family. They wanted to bring it back to his roots of blue-collar crimes. 11. He made Tommy Bilotti his underboss-the DelaCroccio fraction didn't like this. There are multiple other reasons why. The list could go on. It also depends on your perspective and which Gambino faction (white collar vs blue collar) is sharing the narrative.

The point is, Paul was lacking charisma. Lack of charisma makes People less forgiving of people's flaws, sometimes to the point of even exaggerating past actions or looking for reasons to hate even more.

He actually let Sammy talk without cutting him off or interrupting with too many side questions and just let him tell his story without planning to cut it up to save the good shit for patreon 😂 props to Jonny for this one well done my man. Why would anyone be nervous to interview a person that is so smart, that he makes money of his crimes he did 30 years ago, over and over again. Dude who makes the interview has a bag for Sammy, he can come again make that bag over and over, why would he ever do anything to a person giving him money to talk about his life?! I love listening to Sammy, good storyteller. And people calling him a rat, his dude was gonna fuck him, i would have done the exact same in the situation. Theres no honor amongst thieves, right.
