@@thecorporatepilotdad Carenado have sent a patch to Asobo for the Mooney(maybe 2 weeks ago). However, that was before update 6 so its anyone's guess if it will fix the problems(when Asobo add into the game), my guess is, as you mentioned in your video...update 6 broke some of the features of PA-44 so I'm guessing we will need a second patch(along with a PA-44)looking at the current MSFS roadmap they are talking about an update on the 23rd Dec so.. we can look forward to everything being very broken for Christmas!

@thecorporatepilotdad2 жыл бұрын
Some airplanes are extreme sensitive on rudder control. Overall, all the airplanes in MSFS have overly sensitive rudder control. Rudder setting for each airplane can be adjusted down below where the aircraft livery selection is located. Reducing rudder effectiveness for the particular airplane might fix the problem some.

I like all your videos. Just one question: Shouldn't you be pitching for blue line speed on climbout and GA? I don't see you emphasizing this. Is there some reason not to that's specific to the type--i.e. contrarotating props?
@thecorporatepilotdad3 жыл бұрын
Personally, yes I agree with you about going to blue line. I was taught that in my M.E. training back in the day. I just followed what the Piper checklist said as close as I could in FS2020.
@AussieAircraft983 жыл бұрын
Easiest answer, climbout at 105 knots simply looks after the engines, more airflow over the engines, cools them down alot (especially on 40 degree australian days!)! in my time flying the seminole i rarely did any climbing at 88knots unless absolutely necessary to be honest. Hope this helps!

What airport are you flying out of? (Nice Scenery :)
@thecorporatepilotdad3 жыл бұрын
The airport is Port Clinton (PCW) in northern Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie. Put-In-Bay (3W2) is one of the more popular islands to the north of Port Clinton. Most of the small islands there have airports on them. Pelee Island is a few miles to the north in Canada.
@Henkerhaus3 жыл бұрын
Are the Ammeters not working correctly? You have 50 amps before turning anything on. At 2:45, when you start the left engine, the ammeters drop to zero, and are at zero at your alternator output check at 5:44. At 16:43 when you shut off RH engine, amps go back to 50. When you shut down the Left engine, ammeters go to full scale high, then back to 50 amps when fully shut down again.

They are broken. Carenado knows about that one.

I’ve not flown multi, but even in the sim I live in such fear of twin pistons trying to kill me, I would never fly anyplace that demanded max angle. I barely rotate, let it fly off on its own and climb initially at blue line or better. I guess I’ll never put a Baron into a short field, IRL. Then again, I’ll never stall/spin in one. What is it they say about piston twins merely taking you to the crash site that much faster? :) Keep up the vids!
@thecorporatepilotdad3 жыл бұрын
That's why I left out short field procedures. The rotation speed was even slower on the checklist (70). Stay as far away from Vmc as possible. It's all for flight sim but I try to keep everything by the book as much as I can.

I don't get it. For me the controls are really stuff. Like, full left or right roll on the yoke and the plane just kinda gently starts to roll on that direction. Pitch is fine, but it just won't roll at all. I can't find a single reference to this problem anywhere .

Bought this plane today and was excited to try it out but instead I got a bunch of crash to desktops and the autopilot worked sporadically. In fact, before i gave up altogether, selecting heading holding or nav literally caused the plane to start doing barrel rolls and eventually crashed into the ground. Not sure what happened there but I feel like I wasted $20...any ideas?
@thecorporatepilotdad3 жыл бұрын
What did you do to get CTDs? If you're going too fast while opening the pilot side window or the main door it will crash. It used to crash if the visor was pulled down. Are you running the latest update of FS2020? For the AP, are you flipping the AP master switch on? If not, make sure you turn it on, center the heading bug, the hit heading mode selector and see if the airplane turns with adjustments in the heading bug.
@thecorporatepilotdad3 жыл бұрын
If that doesn't work, contact Carenado and try to get it to work. It's a great airplane for FS2020. I played it constantly until I bought the Mooney.

The first two times it crashed (To desktop i.e. Microsoft Flight Simulator just exited with no warning) while I was trying to enter a flight plan into the garmin GPS. Basically crashed adding waypoints. The second crash (i.e. the plane hit the ground..lol) was when I tried engage the Heading mode and nav made right after take off. The first time (when I hit heading mode) the plane barrell rolled and I recovered...the second time. I tried to disable FD/AP Master and reenable it and tried again and the same thing happened (I just let the plane plummet to the ground this time).
