I think an easier way to make the Cool Whip hot chocolate shapes would be to spread the cool whip out on the cookie sheet then put the cookie sheet in the freezer till it firms up. Then put the cookie cutters into the frozen Cool Whip and into the hot chocolate. As a bonus, you could cut them all out and then pop them into a container and leave them in the freezer and take them out whenever you need them.

I had to stop the video to say, the preserves has to be one of the BEST I’ve ever had!🥰 I’ve been buying that for quite a few years now.❤ I used to buy mine at Costco, and it came in a really huge jar. Next time you’re there you should check it out and see if you can find a jar. ☺️

For the chocolate covered peanuts, I use 1 bag of milk chocolate chips, 1/2 bag butterscotch chips and 18 oz of peanuts.

The donut wreath is cute, but my momma radar is going crazy! Please don't just break toothpicks in half, to place the donuts! The wood from the pick could easily become a safety hazard. A better way could be to snip them in half, which wouldn't leave jagged edges and/or increase the risk of wood pieces breaking off inside the donuts. If you refrigerate the candy cane all together (after you assemble it) for about 1-2 hrs it will make the frosting and preserves it will ooze out less!🤗

I am what you mighty call domestically challenged, and I dislike cooking and baking, but those crock pot candies are totally do able for me! I might try some different nuts, too. Walnuts, and maybe some Brazils or Cashews!

To prevent the overflow from the icing and preserves of the candy cane pastry, simply use two cans of crescent rolls and place them closer together, making sure to overlap and pinch together as Shannon described.

I've made the candy cane pastry, but with cream cheese, egg and sugar mixed together instead of the frosting, then topping with pie filling. I'm not sure how cooking store bought frosting is supposed to work.

You may have had trouble with the whip topping not firming up if you stirred it around too much when it was originally thawing. Too much agitation breaks down the topping ingredients.
