Have you thought about doing a multi episode series on Irelands independent especially the stouts and porters they offer. Some of them are near railway lines Carlow Brewing Company, Sullivan’s Brewing Company of Kilkenny and Hopefully who are beside the railway line at Howth junction

This video is so exciting. I have been reading "For the Love of Hops" by Stan Heironymus, 2012. Seeing the people and breweries and HOPS from this book was inspiring to me. Keep up the great job Craft Beer. I made my 1st homemade beer in 1985. I restarted my home beer making continuously in 2011. My present beer: Belma, Tacoma, Mt. Hood HOPS: So good. Gulf War Veteran 1990-91.

Great video! I want to shout out Two Hearted when talking about Centennial: 100% Centennial, first batch hit shelves in 1997 which is a little behind the curve but it's a helluva beer. I recently moved away from Michigan and constantly miss its tap handle when I walk into most bars and restaurants

We nearly went with Two Hearted - it is The Centennial story - but chose not to as they werent independent any more and we struggled to get contact. I really wish we had stuck at it. As much as i was really proud and excited to work with Bear Republic on a Racer 5 homage - Centennials real story starts with Two Hearted.

I'm a Floridian and let me tell you I've learned this state has a hopping brew scene! I still like drinking beers from near and far though. This documentary proves its been a constant like evolutionary process brewing beer that's to be respected from breeders to brewers. Thank you for this documentary highlighting the time line of these amazing hops contributing to remarkable brews.

Hi from Russia! I know that Cascade hops was made as a mix of Russian "Serebryanka" (Silver river/Silver paint) hops and English "Fuggle" hops sorts. It was breeded circa 1960s in Oregon.

Loved this especially hearing the Yakima story. I hope they enjoy the boom after 20-30 years of doing their own thing. Hoping some of those Siren beers make their way to Europe. If anyone spots them please leave a comment!

Another great video guys. I really appreciate the amount of effort and research that must go into making an hour long video of this quality. Cascade always has been and I think always will be my favourite hop. Regularly brew a cascade pale ale which is just always my go to beer. Thanks to all the hop breeders out there and the amount of effort they put it, the unsung heroes of the brewing world! 🍻

Really interesting and well made video! In Finland some breweries have started to collect ”long forgotten” hops and experimenting using them. Because Finland lacks hop industry, there are no mass produced varieties but loads of different hops that have grown in farms etc. Looking forward to taste some of those beers. Fat Lizard is one brewery I remember doing this. Hop in finnish is humala, which also means when you are drunk :)

Good grief, the amount of work that's gone into that video! Great concept, couldn't help relating it to the development of the craft scene in Australia. I left the UK in 2005 and since then the influence that those hops as used by those breweries has had in Oz has been remarkable. When I arrived if you wanted craft beer there was the output of Coopers and if you were very lucky you could find Little Creatures Pale Ale - a rough Sierra Nevada analogue that had just a touch more sweetness. Now I can walk from my house to probably 6 or 7 breweries serving both the more heavily hopped American styles and some more traditional European styles. I doubt that either would have happened without Little Creatures following the prompt of Sierra Nevada [personal opinion not to be relied upon in any way].
