@@georqedubyakush6066 in the 60s and early 70s Ford used the black and red combo on some of their hubcaps such as the GT wheels on Mustangs and Torino's with the 7 inch center caps. They looked great.

My 81 F100 came with those caps. Went white 5 spoke with chrome center caps and lugs. Was a black truck bought new at El Cajon Ford.

What the reason for caping off the vacuum advance for ? That would probably cause problems?

I have a lot of initial timing so it doesn’t advance too far. I have 12 degrees and my mechanical advance puts it right at 34 total. So there’s no need

Run a return line on your fuel system the fuel pump will run cooler and last longer then if it's just deadheading

If you haven't already painted your hub caps, look into 2 part epoxy resin. It comes clear, and you can tint it to whatever color you want.

Well done! As the caps,,, I would suggest doing a AGED look, MATCH the truck! I like them (didn't think I would), don't paint them like new, MATCH the AMAZING truck. Thank you for all your efforts and sharing!!!

not all the hub caps were painted it specifically had to with if it was a base model or not. some came with the outer beauty rings depending on the car. the black ring would look nice on it. very few came with the lettering painted since it had to be hand painted. but it is a very nice touch to add to it.

Craig if you had $3500 and were willing to come up to NorCal for it, there's a 67 F100 that's in pretty good shape that you could steal the engine and trans out of for your Galaxie and then just put a small block in it... The thing has a 4brl 427/C6 in it! I want to go buy it so bad just to pull the engine and put a small block in it.. (that and screw around a bit with that big block in it and no weight, that must be a serious handful!) The engine alone is worth that much. It's on Craigslist Sacramento if you want to look for it.

Those hubcaps come in 2 locking styles. Outside and inside lip of the rim. It been hard for me to find hubcaps for my 67' F-250.

I got some new hubcaps for that, they are supposed to have the ring and the letters painted in black mine are like that and orginal but you can paint the letters in every color

You changed the pump and still didn't put rubber bushings on it ? Also you can rebuild those pumps. They are notorious for leaking.

There are 3 bushings in it. It’s still noisy because it’s bolted directly to the frame. So no bushing really will quiet that down.

I put a piece of foam rubber between the electric pump and underside of my cab to minimize the noise from the pump. Hardly hear it now.

If your dead set on running an electric fuel pump for the truck i'd say you should invest in a fuel pump control module so it just pluses or runs the pump as needed instead of running all the time it would help keep from burning the pump up

i seen the black yeakel, baney and rackman dragster. they started at el mirage. the yeakel bros owned a olds = cadillac dealership. lou baney had a old gas station with ed pink as his mechanic before pink open pinks inc and that was before he moved to the valley. lou was president of russetta timing assc. for 5 years and he ran saugus drags at the s-6 sky ranch in saugus. baney and rackman left the coupes car club that pink was also in and joined my dad's club. screwdrivers of culver city on FB. See more famous hot rodders there. some movies too.

Craig It,s your truck and you can do what you want to it. But imo. i would not run those hub caps. years ago i had a 78 Ford Couirer and they where the first thing to go.Man I miss the smell of Nitro.

Craig imo. one of the best looking wheels for a 67/72 f-100 is the Cragar SS. also the American Racing Torque Thrust D,s. On my 67 f-100 swb I have the Cragar SS,s. Finding some cool rims in the old Ford bolt pattern can be kinda tough.
