Good point on having a 1" sander belt to sand inside round corners. I was thinking of getting a 6" wide but you have a good point to get a 1" wide. Thanks for the video

I would recommend using a square to set/check the angle on the table to belt.

I bought one and received it today through Amazon. The round table needs to be set with a square and the screw in the back of the table needs to be adjusted and locked at 90%. I also noticed the belt support (@ the table, behind the belt) needed to have the slot holes machined slightly so it would line up sideways with the belt. It's a good machine and with the proper belt, can sharpen knives and drills. @@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman

You can be a bit fairer than what you've been I've got two of them on the both Clarks 1 by 30 I use them for reprofiling knives sharpening knives I'm making knives and handle scales I think they're brilliant what are the best pieces of kit to come out get yourself two of them to do yourself a favour I've just bought another two so I don't have to keep swapping the belts I can go from one machine to another through the different grits I think the cheaper where you are anyway thumbs up

It’s pretty easy. You have to remove the side then release the tension.

Actually I just saw another video and you do have to give the belt a jumpstart with your hand to get it going, but it will work.

If you try to put a conditioning belt on it then good luck. It won’t work.

@@robertboiteau1890hi. Why not? I’m thinking of buying one of these and I restore all tools so buffing and polishing along with a nice sand is important to me. The 3m conditioning belts I looked at on Amazon don’t look much different than d sandpaper 1x30. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Shave a little metal off the pivot bolt too.

I don’t know where my secondary comment went, I guess I never hit send but all you need to is give it a jumpstart with your hand and take some off the pivot bolt and it will spin a 3m conditioning belt.
