Charlie Bartlett it depends where you live too tho. I have virgin with 120mbps. But 20 upload speed. Usually how virgin is (at least in Manchester) Whereas BT has the same upload as download usually (again my references are all in Manchester) .

I live in Shropshire in a small town and BT is so unreliable here. One of my friends has fucking Post Office internet and has a solid 20+mbps. My BT internet randomly resets itself numerous times throughout the day with speeds sporadically ranging between 40mbps. The has occurred with numerous routers.

I think European outlets have higher voltage. Here in Ireland we have 230v whereas in the US I believe it is only 120v
