In the same room with that final synth is the Rad 3 shield in a box if you have the Advanced AI for you truck.

Did you know that with a high enough Nerd Skill level, you can kill the synth without dealing with the animatronics?

I have played though a few times on one run I use the nerd skill; I chose the option to shoot while incapacitated and killed it. Kwon and Wesson both quit the party.

It is probably worth to mention that you will NOT get this skill book if you install disk in any of your party members and received Cyborg Tech Perk. If so - Synth Hunter will have additional dialog about how he do not like people whom made Cyborg Augments to their bodies and will not give you this book. You will still receive quest reward - but this will be. So be careful.

@@TheCriticallyClueless Now, the only question is who to throw it on. Obviously, the shotgun guy is a good pick but my HMG character would love it as well. I guess if you can clump the guys up and your shot gun guy is the leader, that would be great pick. My HMG guy is a single target killer so it's really a toss up.

huh... interesting. in my current playthrough, where i had cyber augmentation of my rangers, he actually does not give this skill book.

Yup, it can be very easy to miss or not get, you have to complete it in a certain way

possible bypass is to get the skill book first without augmentation then getting cyber upgrades
