Thanks so much for watching! For sure check this location out, it’s one of the only locations that lets you keep anything you find and is open year-round! Diamond Hill mine has so many varieties of quartz it keeps you going back. I dig there for many years when I first started digging crystals, you always find something on any given day! Thanks again for the support 🙌

Hey I was wondering if you think it’s worth 8 hours of driving ?
@bjwalters83852 жыл бұрын
@@legitswift3536 I don't think I would drive 8 hours just for the mining, but if you were within 2 hours from it I think it would be worth a visit. You could plan a road trip that swings by there so you have other highlights for your trip as well. Maybe to Cherokee North Carolina or Helen, GA. You could always visit some state parks and camp as you go as well, but as far as the Diamond hill mine goes, it's definitely worth checking out if you are within 2 hours. I guess it depends on your expectations, but my wife and I found a lot of clear, milky, and skeletal crystals. We did find a couple of small pieces of amethyst, but they are rare. It was fun none the less, and the pouring rain helped us find a lot.

After being there all day Digging and looking I was so disappointed with this mine. I could of stayed home and dug in the backyard. Just went here for the first time yesterday and 4 hours was NOT long enough. This is an ALL day place. I learned so much my first visit but this visit is going to help put me in a totally different bracket for next time. I was hitting pegmatite ALL day and I felt so defeated thinking I was just hitting regular rock and to think I was THAT CLOSE to potential pockets is insane. If you could give any more SC suggestions that would be fantastic. I’m going to invest the 8 hours next time or just a whole weekend.
