Im confused if Matty is ranking ranking tps dependence or just tps.
@antoineccantin6 ай бұрын
@@elliottwilliamson2560 I feel like it's the same? Xuanyi doesn't have fast TPS and also doesn't depend on TPS to get good solves
@elliottwilliamson25606 ай бұрын
@@antoineccantin I thought it meant they dont depend on TPS as much because they have more efficient solutions and typically use less ergonomic solutions. Like ruihang for example doesnt do f moves hardly in f2l or maybe he is more now.
@antoineccantin6 ай бұрын
@@elliottwilliamson2560 so in this case a high value on the graph high means he does more awkward moves and so has low TPS, and therefore depends more on TPS because it's already slow and if it was slower than his solves would be much worse compared to someone who has high TPS which would somehow maybe be less affected by having lower TPS? This doesn't really make sense to me. I think Matty just hasn't seen many of Xuanyi'a solves, so didn't quite know what to answer so went with a default Chinese kid answer haha

I hope by 2040 we actually time cube solves... PURELY. As in no stack mat timer just a smart cube that starts at first turn then ends at last turn. I know it's miniscule but how many world records by 0.1 have we had that weren't counted because they were relaxed with the timer. As you said being nervous in front of a crowd can lead to hands locking up and being relaxed is what matters. I know first hand that hitting the timer is slightly stressful after a smooth solve lol.

Also how far into the solves they can predict has an effect but that's not really creativity more visualisation, pattern recognition - brain power! I'm off the chart here 🙃with low tps of around 2.8, high move count around 67, Sub zero creativity and around 23 second average times. We need a chart for all us mortals down here 🙂

why is yiheng so low? the stats on speedcubedb show that his average movecount is 56 while tymon's is 53. Tymon also uses a lot of ZB and Yiheng doesn't yet his movecount is relatively low. He also sets up a lot of 3 movers and solves F2L pairs such that the next pair is easy to solve. His creativity should be high and so should his TPS. There's solves where he does 67 moves but with 13+ tps so he has some variation

I have a video/experiment idea, but i'm not sure who would be able to pull it off. I'm convinced you could teach a crow(or other inteligent animal known for problem solving skills) to give instructions to a blindfolded cubesolver. Say by teaching it to peck on pieces and then where they go. With the beginnermethod it wouldnt be too hard to execute if you can get the animal to recognize and signal the correct patterns to the solver. Any thoughts?
