GIRONA IS DISNEYLAND FOR CYCLISTS!

EPISODE #66
This is the final episode from our cycling trip across Spain. We are in the cyclist mecca of Girona… this place really is Disneyland for cyclists. There’s cafes and patisseries everywhere, bikes shops on every corner and the roads are just simply incredible…
We spend two days checking out everything that the city has to offer. After wanting to visit here for a very long time… I’m finally here and I couldn’t be happier! It really is an incredible place.
On day 1 we head out to a lovely town called Banyoles… on route we stop at the famous Haribo factory, because you have to… and then on day 2 we take on a very famous climb on the outskirts of Girona, called Els Angels… what a stunning climb. Unfortunately, things didn’t end the way we had hoped and we end up taking a bit of a slide on the tarmac, which wasn’t fun at all! In fact that was my first time having a crash like that… and I really didn’t enjoy it! Haha!
But overall it didn’t put too much of a damper on the trip, we really had an amazing time… thanks so much to the guys for making it so memorable.

So glad you guys are alright. I must have PTSD or something. Seeing you go down is like watching a close friend crash…it really got me. I’m 5 weeks out from my first crash after two years of cycling. I healing from a broken clavicle, six broken ribs, and a broken vertebrae. I have a long way to go, but i’m doing well. But I’ll tell you seeing a crash affects me very differently now than it did when watching videos. Sooooo very glad you guys are alright. Watching your vids has gotten me from not being able to move to going back to work tomorrow. Blessings from Texas and thanks for the inspiration. Been riding through you guys!

Most people think of Tenerife when talking of Canary island, but believe me Gran Canaria offers so much to ride and enjoy in terms of scenery, food and culture.

Ouch! Good work all of you, looking forward to more trips and film making. Re the footage: the phone was sharper, with a shallower DoF and less saturated colours, which I preferred. However, the sound was not as good compared to the GoPro. Maybe a mic muff thing for the phone and try again? Big up yourselves X

Not much you could have done about that crash, but it is something to be aware of on mountain runs.. often water or even ice to watch out for.. Always slow for the corners, feed it on the straights

Yeah just one of those things… I think because the patch was so small, made it easy to overlook! I’ve descended in far worse conditions many many times and always been okay… just catches you out when you least expect it unfortunately! 🙈

Cycle around Mauritius and take on the climbs! Go mid year, cold for the locals, but at 24-27deg C it’s prime for cycling!

Oh fellas I feel your pain, I crashed 2 years ago, I was only turning into a corner at 5-mph shattered my left hip, I was in hospital for 17-days, had a 5-hour operation to have a curved titanium plate inserted inside me and screw to my skeleton...then 3-months of intensive physiotherapy to learn how to walk again...but I'm 14,430 miles into my new hip in the 2-years...so you 2 came out of it well 👌🏻👌🏻 ...you are now both crash brother's 😉

Thanks very much Kenny! Definitely get out on an adventure… you won’t regret it! In regards to the bike… everyone knows that I absolutely love my SuperSix and yes it performed flawlessly. Only thing I’d consider for long distance stuff is maybe going for more of an endurance setup. I really like the look of the new Synapse or even a more gravel bike platform such as the Topstone would be a great option. 😁👍

Glad you guys came out of that crash relatively ok If you want a uk cycle adventure cycle round wales It’s pretty epic 600 miles over four days 😎🤳 Day 1 Bristol to Llangollen Day 2 Llangollen to rhlyl follow coast line to Bangor.End up in Aberystwyth. Day 3 follow coast line to Swansea Day 4 Swansea to Bristol 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
