Just do it for the love for Allah graciousness and his forgiveness. Ikhlas is the key. If you do it with righteous heart, you will see the differences little by little. Allah will show you the way.

Oh Allah SWT! Is this a sign from you to me, the slave of you, who was once Blinded by hate and driven by rage, who hated everyone and even himself, that how important it is for me to keep doing what it is I am doing today? Keeping up with the Isthigfar after every prayer? I did not know how truly important this was, but I kept at it anyway. And I kept doing Isthigfar during the times I get for free when I am at work, sometimes an hour, and then two hours... I just thought "Why waste my time doing nothing, and then try doing a little something which would be a benefit for me in the Judgement Day? Maybe I'll just keep saying 'AllahAkubar' and 'Isthigfar' till am no longer free. Allah is the most Merciful, maybe He will forgive some of my sins" Wow... I am so happy I have to come learn this, I am in tears... Oh the most Merciful, I am truly grateful for you have saved me from the madness in this world and from the madness within me... AllahAkubar! The most Merciful! Insha Allah, I shall never lose myself again! And keep doing the Isthigfar to the end of my days! Forgive my sins and have Mercy on my soul, in this world and in the Hereafter! Ameen!
