What a conscientious person. Also I still can’t get over that she won golds in 3 different distances 100, 200, and 400. That is super rare. 100 and 200 are all-out sprints, so you see people winning those together (e.g., Bolt) but the 400 is its own beast. Mad respect.

I didn't know her, and she's amazing. She reminded me the swimmer Léon Marchand who won 4 gold medals at the Paris Olympics, nobody else did that. These two, just like the french Teddy Riner in Judo, Simone Biles in gymnastic, Team USA in Basket-ball are true Heroes. 🇫🇷❤️🇺🇲

Yeah she won the 200m open (individual) then in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. When sprinters win 3 races it’s typically in 100, 200, and 4x100. People who run the 400 typically stick to that distance (like Femke or Sydney, they do 400 hurdles and the 4x400). The training is different for that distance, so its really impressive she was in all 3. Granted two were in relays, but you still need to be among the 4 fastest runners on your team in that distance to be chosen, and to win, let alone set a national record, each of those 4 have to be great.

I'm pretty sure I'll get some hate for saying this but I wish this interview would reach thousands, if not millions of young women. She has a potential to be a, if not already, generational role model. My take is a bit personal upon seeing/knowing a few young girls in my life who chose to quit school and succumb to social media pressure.
