As a retired RN, BSN I love Ghetto Gastro's ideas. I worked with a PA who had 3 Latino patients who had very high cholesterol & blood pressure levels. No matter what medications she gave her patients, nothing lowered their chol or BP. She decided to do 'home' visits to see what exactly they were doing that was lending to these issues. All 3 of them had a huge barrel of lard that they used in cooking, every meal. She brought them different choices of oil to fry with & asked them to pick one they liked & use it instead of the lard. Three months later, all 3 patients had markedly decreased cholesterol & BPs. Not one of them or their families had a problem switching to the oil of their choice. Little things make a big difference. When they say food feeds our souls & bodies, they're not kidding.

@@christinamendoza382 Just asking questions. I asked a liberal if white lives matters. She said no. Then I asked if black lives matters. She said yes. So you're a racist? That is the definition of racism, to believe that one race is more than another. See, pdf file liberals are everything they accuse others of doing and being, so they try to move the guilt from themselves onto others. When a pdf file liberal accuse you of being racist, you can be sure that pdf file liberal is one of the worst racists him or herself. It's all about image. Pdf file liberals like to be racist, but they do not like the backlash. That's why they want other people to take the blame for their crimes.

You've got that right. That's why I love to listen to Mr. Noah. His take on 'American Life' is as an observer who has been raised in a totally different life & culture. The more we learn/know, the richer our lives become. There is so much variety in the world... from how we go about our daily lives to the foods that we eat. How great is that?

I love Trevor's interviews. His interactions with his guests, and the variety of guests, from chefs to writers. He always comes from a place of curiosity and respect, and they're always knowledgeable, well spoken individuals and so different. Truly, an eclectic and representative mix of America has been displayed every show. It makes America feel more like home to me. Thank you as always, Trevor. And as always, after another guest, I have another thing to check out that I never knew about before.
