I can't believe this piece was produced by a *comedy* show. Absolutely excellent boots-on-the-ground reporting. And absolutely terrifying that my fellow citizens can be so easily fooled. Not a shred of critical thinking among them. And even when they start to realize it, their brain immediately shuts that option down. We need de-programming on a mass scale.

It’s a conservation bias, basically, when someone has a belief that is part of their identity, and then they are confronted with evidence to the contrary, they latch on even more to their belief. The more indisputable the evidence to the contrary is, the more fiercely they will latch on to their false belief. It’s why slamming facts and figures down onto people when they’re wrong typically doesn’t work, you have to first connect with them on a personal level and then you can try the Socratic method, but we’ve got to start talking to people and stop taunting them bc our current cultural rift is absolutely devastating our country

It's unbelievable that Bolton who is clearly a smart man, has this blind spot that he can't make himself to vote for Biden even though he fully understands the dangers of Trump presidency. I think the thing is that he's just extremely dishonest person. He knows that if he now pledges to vote for a democrat when it's the right thing to do, he won't have any future in the post-Trump republican party as his opponents would always come back to this. So, he's not doing what he knows is right for the country hoping that the others will but he's doing what's best for himself.
@doko3000

You're assuming he will actually do what he says on the interview but there's no way to verify that. There's what Bolton says on the interview, and there's the way he actually votes on election day. As he's a right winger, I don't think that the wants to burn any potentially profitable bridges by admitting that "yeah, I'll vote for Biden". He just saves face on interviews, and does whatever else he wants during the secret vote time that nobody can see what his vote was.

What is the point? 1/3rd will understand the problem, 1/3rd will not and decline to vote and 1/3rd are the problem. Until America sorts out its educational problem, it will be doomed to mediocrity and stupidity.

"We" aren't "letting" him run; Republicans are nominating him. That's their right, as long as he meets the minimum criteria of Constitutional requirements. 48% of Americans are officially hazzholes.

So they let a guilty felon and a traitor run for president? I wish there were some kind of requirements for running as head of state. Like being able to string a coherent sentence together. That could be a minimum requirement. Just a thought!

If you live or traveled Europe the more sad architecture gets the more East you go. The more old Soviet apartment blocks you see. They are the most hideous buildings in Europe. It are just concrete rectangles without decorations. Like a quarter of Russian don't even have plumbing. I share your view on people of Moscow. Great left leaning people. Rural Putin loving Russians though are worse than Nazi's. Fascist to the core. Probably because of extreme poverty. I would take being poor in Asia over Russia any day.
