Polls show that many Democrats are less than enthusiastic about voting for Joe Biden, but not this guy. Troy Iwata meets Biden's (only?) superfan and gets his advice for pumping up Biden supporters, and maybe pumping up Biden, himself. #DailyShow #Biden #Trump #Election

Wait... joking aside, this is exactly who we need doing the rounds on social media. Not classical media, they pigeon hole, but seriously. So well-put together, composed, eloquent. You killed it Dakota. Even though it was supposed to be a joke that "you will save" Biden or whatever they said, with messaging like "he came out of retirement to save this country" you are really doing great work. Okay... maybe some work on the "how to convince someone who isn't enthused" but still! Haha, but really, the effort is appreciated.

I lived a long time and “boring”, “unexciting”, and “normal” is exactly what you want in the White House. You want the person who does the work, and does it well, without expectation of fanfare. Being chased through the corn maze by a guy with a chainsaw everyday on your way to and from work is “exciting” but it’s no way to live. Hop in a minivan, pick up your coworkers, and go around the maze.

@@youlittlewitchyou I'm not saying you should vote for Trump. I would never vote for Trump. But by saying you "love" Biden, you're sending the message that his unwavering support of the Israeli onslaught doesn't really bother you that much. People in Haiti, Libya, and other countries don't die as a result of U.S. funds and weapons sent to the people committing the atrocities. People in Gaza ARE being killed thanks to U.S. tax dollars. That is the very clear, simple, and factual distinction here.

What bothers me is what Netanyahu,(Isreal’sTrump), is doing to decimate Palistinians. Netanyahu wants Trump to win He knows Dems will blame Biden for everything thing Netanyahu does to the Palestinians. Isreal is an ally of the US, the only democracy that protects the rights of women and LGBTQ in the region. Biden has been doing a ton to try to get Netanyahu to stop. He went to Isreal in person during a war to try to stop Netanyahu from doing a ground invasion. He urged restraint. Netanyahu blew him off. Netanyahu knew he had enough weapons already in stock to do this war. He also knew if Biden took too hard of a line against Isreal he could lose an election and Trump would return to office. American Foreign policy is not built by one president. Trump did things like make the illegal settlements legal and moved our embassy to Jerusalem and supported far right ultra nationalists in Isreal. The Israelis were ready to get rid of corrupt Netanyahu because he was trying to change the judicial system to stay in power. Netanyahu was so focused on quelling domestic dissent that he missed the signals for the Hamas terroristvattack. In fact Netanyahu, funded Hamas to keep it as a counter weight to the Palestinian Authority. Biden can’t do what you want him to without causing other harm. Foreign policy is like a Jenga game. Trump removed a lot of pieces recklessly. Now if anything topples Biden gets blamed. Do you know how close it’s come to the whole region becoming a war zone. Do you truly think that by blaming Biden and not voting for him that if Trump wins the Palistinians will benefit? Trump loyalist Linsey Graham was calling for Isreal to nuke Gaza. Trump imposed a Muslim ban at the beginning of his term. Biden is working for a Palestinian state and to rebuild Gaza. Trump or RFKjr would never do that. Biden is not the cause of this genocide. Hamas is sacrificing its own people and Netanyahu is committing war crimes. Biden keeps trying to stop it. Help him out. Isreal would listen if Biden was perceived as having the backing of Americans. Netanyahu has made a grave mistake, he has turned young Americans against Isreal. I hope young Americans don’t make the mistake of aiding Netanyahu by allowing Trump to be re-elected.

The simple answer - not enough intellect and willingness to think. Policies are pretty complex, and from this viewpoint, boring and require thinking in the long-term conditions. Most people live like there is no tomorrow and then they have a problem with "inflation." If they were willing to rethink their habits and plan their life at least a bit, most wouldn't have half of their current financial problems. (I have a couple of friends who are textbook examples of that, so I know what I am talking about. And then it's necessary to look for a culprit of their problems, of course... And lucky them - they found him in our current president😞.)

When we say 'excited' about a president we don't mean so much that they'd be fun to hang out with or something. It's more about what they intend to do with their power.

Bernie tells people what they want to hear but doesn't tell them he doesn't have a magic wand that can make it all happen. Joe Biden is forced to deal with the system we have and what we can realistically do about it. And Biden has made headway toward a number of progressive goals against incredibly difficult odds.

Biden should open with a jab like, “After Rip Van Winkle spent over a month on a sleepover in the courtroom, I certainly hope he got enough rest and can stay awake to debate me tonight,” follow up with, “It’s pretty chilly in here, Don, so do you need a blanket for your naptime during the commercial break? Who knows? Maybe he’ll do a sponsored ad for My Pillow on his podium?” and close with, “With all that said, I don’t think Americans want Sleeping Beauty on the job.”
