This is what happens when close and friendly nations that act with maturity and resolve do the right thing when the chips are down. All kidding aside, Canadian forest firefighters are amongst the most experienced and toughest firefighters in the world and have gone all over the world to help immediately when needed. Our brother forest firefighters in the United States from areas such as Washington and Oregon have also come to assist when Canadian fires have done terrible harm to our communities. Trump would not know or care about these facts...

Iceland used to be part of it too but left in the 40s, which is allowed. Independence is a big dream in Greenland, which is the exact opposite of becoming a state in the US. A survey was done and the opinion of the US in Greenland has actually gone down since 2021 and most are not in favor of becoming part of the US. Oh yeah and the people Trump Jr were posing with was a mix of criminals (including a notable convicted drug smuggler) and homeless people that were bribed with dinners and other things.

Let's think this through. If the US illegally occupied Greenland then Denmark could declare Article 5, which is to say it could call on all NATO countries to help defend itself against an attack from a hostile nation, in this case the United States. This would put the US in the position of having to deploy forces as a part of NATO to defend against an attack from itself. So Trump would have to pull out of that first and destroy one of the most important strategic alliances in modern history - but that wouldn't bother him. It would also see NATO partners such as Canada fighting against the US, along with other partners like the UK and France teaming up with Germany to fight the US as well. So those nations can watch the s*** show from the sidelines and cheer on NATO and encourage economic sanctions be imposed against the US and US assets frozen around the world while the US is having its little dictator moment in history. Much as everyone has done with Putin and the Russian Federation, because in this scenario, there isn't a whole lot of difference between the US and Russia. Fun fact, the only nation to declare article 5 was the United States, which got NATO involved after the 911 attacks to help defend US interests around the world.
