I'm really liking Klavan more and more, sometimes Ben Shapiro's lack of sentiment is a bit palling. I love that Andrew has this scope of art and beauty along with his logical sensibilities.

quistan2 I listen to Ben because it’s important to listen to a variety of opinion, but I far prefer Klavan and even Knowles over Shapiro. He gets lost chasing his tail too much trying to apply rigid logic to daily politics. But in general I have massive amounts of respect for the man and I look forward to his book next year on how to save Western civilization.

Oh certainly, If Shapiro ran for President today, I can't think of many others I would put in front of him. However as a Christian myself, I don't know how logical one can actually be if they except God, yet deny Christ. Policy wise, I think I'm 99% in agreement with Ben, but on occasion, even I think he can be pretty cold in his assessment.

Funny American Sniper was one of the top films in the last year or so, shows what they know about what the people want.

If it is, it is not part of their video library yet. The only interview I found with Andrew was from 9 years ago

"...the lowest point Hollywood has ever hit..." Agree about the anti-war movies being a waste of time, but honestly, 2000-2004 was the best time period for movies since the 1960's, by a mile.

Yea 70's had some good movies: Patton, Dawn of the Dead, Young Frankenstein, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Man Who Would Be King, and I'd include Jaws and Star Wars. For anyone interested... 00' - 04': X-Men and X-2, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Memento, Lord of the Rings, The Ring, Spirited Away, Harry Potter, Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle, Millennium Actress, Pulse (Japanese version), Minority Report, Catch me if you Can, The Transporter, Roger Dodger, Hero, Master and Commander, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, Ghost in the Shell 2, Team America: World Police, Kekexili + many others

I would have to disagree about integrity about Trump...I voted for him because he gets the job done. Integrity is not something he has though. -Integrity: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness Trump lacks a lot of honesty, moral principle, but does have some things he hold values to, being the troops, people of service, etc. He is an egotist, he doesn't stand by his word, and mainly does what makes him look good. I would not associate integrity with a man that is egotistical. Does he follow his campaign promises, some so far, but the way he talks about making deals makes him seem like he will do any deal that gets the job done. This is either for or against his promises.

So how did James Woods, Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, Jon Voight, Vince Vaughn, Mark Wahlberg and Tom Selleck manage to stay on the Hollywood A-list despite their conservative views being well-known for many years? Methinks Andrew Klavan is pouring on the self-pity a bit thick here.

Oh Andrew... propaganda? You can't lie? I watch you lie into your own little camera every day now.
