I remember Draft Night 2020, thinking that the Fins had gotten one over my Bolts after landing Tua (I badly wanted my team to draft him), forcing my team to draft Herbert, a QB I was not convinced in given the recent mediocre history of Oregon QBs in the pros. Shows you how much of a dum-dum I was, forgetting our best QB ever was a Duck, and how QB evaluations are true crap shoots.

Lions are 14-2, Goff has had one bad game (and still won) and his defense has been decimated almost all season. How is he not in contention for MVP?

@ХорхеГарсия-э5е17 күн бұрын
@@nolongerblocked6210 That's the fun part, he does. Heck, people treated Allen losing to the Rams but having a great game as a statement as to why he should be the MVP. Then Goff lost to the Bills and had an even better game than what Allen had against the Rams and it was treated as the reason why he was eliminated from MVP contention.

I think many of the media hold his past performances against him. Whether fair or not, playing behind that OL gives him enough time to make all the right plays is what the detractors would say. But he still has to actually make the plays. No matter your stance on this matter, I think we all have fun watching the team.

I don't mind broadcasters having a favorite team as long as they are objective about doing their job. What I don't understand is broadcasters who never have a dog in the game. You can easily be respectful of individual and team performances even when deep in your heart it might hurt.
@stingrey157117 күн бұрын
i dont mind broadcasters having a favorite team. i have a problem when they openly root for the more popular or bigger market team during a game. for example, mlb playoff game, brewers vs dodgers or steelers vs jags. whenever small team X does well. broadcaster openly "sighs" or makes excuses for big team y.

Jared Goff, with all the injuries to to the Lions defense and the pressure to score to win games and delivering week after week, is the MVP. He won't get it for a number of bogus media narratives that have nothing to do with delivering play after play in clutch situations week after week. How will the Lions do as the hunted after "sneaking up" on the competition last year supposedly? Well, the Lions are 14-2, and have set franchise record after record this season Goff is right there in every statistical category for QBs and has his team with the best record and still is not considered as having much of a chance to win MVP. Pure crap. Allen has had a great season and would be my number two choice with Jackson, Barkley and Mahomes as the next in line. Burrow and the Bengals won't even make the playoffs and Burrow's Bengals defense is no worse than the Lions defense after all the injuries. Goff continues to get no respect.

Is Chris Simms really that stupid. Does he not know Allen is going to play one series at best to keep his consecutive games streak going and will then sit the rest of the game? I mean he does this analysis for a living right. The MVP race is over and it’s amazing these guys can’t realize it.
