I follow David Spade in all of his platforms. Have seen him live. Regularly listen to his podcast. Loved Lights Out. In addition to being an amazing comic, he is a superb talker and interview. I mean this in the best possible way. #deeplyunderappreciatedisSpade

I wish they'd revive Lights Out, very entertaining. Seemed a super comfortable platform for Dave, and a way to learn about other comedians.

@@Zomarieful Yes, it was such a good show. I don't know if it ended due to the pandemic or due to other factors.

One of my favorite Farley segments was the Chippendales skit that he did with Patrick Swayze

Farley’s brilliance was buried in his self effacing nature. Chris was a savant. Hard-wired from birth to entertain, it may seem like he leaned on the physical stuff, but my God- that chance, that one in 50 million chance to make it to the heights he reached…..I’m grateful to Chris Farley for having the courage to “go for it.” Oh, and thank you Spade for being so generous (appearing on the podcast promo “Wheel of Death”😆😆😆(“Okay, who’s after Dan Patrick?……Joyce Van Ark?!? Okay, can I at least use the bathroom first? 😞

I never considered that Farley could have gone the John Candy route, but I can see that now. It's sad to think what could have been with both of them, and now being the same age Candy was when he died puts things in an odd perspective because people don't really talk about him (or Farley for that matter) "dying young", but dammit it isn't not old either. In some ways going in your 30's or 40's is sadder for some people because it looked like they were going to beat the odds.

Sticking with the sarcastic character was his smartest move. Worked for him on Just Shoot Me.

You can lead a horse to water........ It's awful when u see it happen right in front of u. To see someone u know, to spiral down and u help as much as u can, but they don't want to help themselves

Great radio and the podcast is great as is the almost 4 hrs of talking about Farley. Those years of SNL were the best IMO, obviously I'm biased but growing up in a rural Nevada town, if we were at a party, we'd still make sure to turn on SNL and tell everyone to shut up. That was must-see TV, and I would tape each episode, and we'd come home for lunch and watch a bit throughout the week. The interviews on the podcast about Farley were great, with John Lovitz specifically hilarious and Jim Bilushi's interview very poignant, and sad as well.
