I'm sure someone has mentioned it already, but just to help clear the confusion for the skipped plot points (*Spoiler Warning*): 1) Yes, Vegeta died. He blew himself up trying to kill Majin Buu, but it failed. However, in order to stop Buu, King Yama allowed Vegeta to return to Earth (not resurrected, he was still dead as indicated by the halo above his head) in order to stop Buu. 2) Everyone Buu turned into candy and devoured (except Fat Buu) died. Those who he absorbed with his flesh (Gohan, Trunks, Goten, & Piccolo) merged and became part of him. In order to save him, Vegito allowed himself to be absorbed, too, but only to rescue them from within Buu. 3) Buu's power to turn people into candy is powerful, but not unbeatable. Super Buu turned Vegito into a Jawbreaker, however, Vegito was so strong that he was able to retain his consciousness, power, and ability to move. As a result, Super Buu started getting pummeled by a piece of candy, because Vegito was too tiny and quick to catch. It was like trying to swat a fly, only the fly had the powers of a Super Saiyan. Buu had no choice but to turn Vegito back to normal in hopes of turning things around. 4) Namek was one of the planets that Kid Buu didn't destroy. The Namekians summoned the dragon with their Dragonballs and used their three wishes to A) Restore the planet Earth, B) Bring back all of the Earthlings (but ONLY the good ones), and C) Restore Goku's strength so he can finish the fight against Buu.

CJ didn't mention it, but they used the Namek dragonballs to wish earth back and it's population during that last fight, and then used that energy to fuel the Spirit Bomb. The reason the Fat Buu was back is because he was the first one to get absorbed, so when Vegito was fighting super Buuand they rescued everyone he absorbed, Fat Buu was included

They used dragon balls to bring back the Earth and all people who were killed since Babidi (chameleon guy) arrived. They did it so Goku could charge spirit bomb (plot armor) to beat Buu because neither Goku nor Vegeta could take him out so they resorted to good old cheat code known as plot to do it. Bonus: The only reason why they managed to activate the power of plot is thanks to Mr. Satan (guy with afro and yes that is his name) because people didn't want to give their energy to Goku for spirit bomb until Satan made them do it. So technically, it is Satan that saved them all back then. Another bonus: Kid Buu got reborn as Uub (human).

Kid Buu is the original Buu, but Fat Buu came into existence when Kid Buu ate the fat Kai here 21:57, as a result of that Fat Buu was born and he inhibited some of the fat Kai's goodness. Tbh Kid Buu is like a baby, babies have no reason for doing the things they do, they just do it cuz of instincts, Kid Buu is pure evil, so his instincts is to do anything evil without a reason to do it, and all the Buu's you see are separate beings who was separated from the original, but they are all the same person with different personalities, kinda like an Alter Ego, in literal terms, all Buus are fragments of Kid Buu that exhibit their own personalities. Vegeta did kill himself. Goku at the start of this arc was also dead, which is why he had to dip out. Goku was only allowed to visit the living for a day, he burned almost all of that time on his new super saiyan 3 form. That form caused Goku so many problems that he will go on to never use it in a serious fight ever again. Being dead had its perks for Goku and Vegeta. They were more resilient to damage and couldn't get tired. So naturally, problems arose when they were revived. Goku came back to life because the Old Kai gave Goku his life, so that he would be able to return to Earth and save his friends and family. He later learns that his super saiyan 3 form was a total mistake because it causes extreme exhaustion. Exhaustion so great they literally needed to the wish granting dragon to restore Goku's stamina, allowing him to make the final push to end Kid Buu. Vegeta came back to life when the wish granting dragon brought everyone back to life, including Vegeta, in the middle of the final fight. This became a problem because Vegeta was taking advantage of the fact he was already dead, but since he's alive again, Vegeta wasn't able to tank the hits anymore and was thus was unable to move anymore. Good Buu never died, he was absorbed. He broke out of Kid Buu to save Mr. Satan. Good Buu was the only one who could stand up to Kid Buu and even he blowing fumes before the beatdown was over. By the end of this arc, every one on Earth in Dragon Ball has died at least once. Mr. Satan is the only one to have never died.
