This is a really good take on the whole 'doppelganger' or 'evil twin' concept, where it's more about the place than the double themselves. The different perspectives help sell the other Scott as a person rather than a vague malevolent entity, which makes it a lot more interesting for this type of story.

Now THAT is an opening line... I especially like the detail that the alternate timeline has a turkey instead of an eagle. I remember hearing in school that Benjamin Franklin had argued for the turkey to be the national bird but he was outvoted. The dueling narratives really sell this story.

yeah I get really tired of how morally black and white so much of fiction is recently I feel like, it seems much worse than when I was a kid. Everyone wants a simplistic "good vs. evil" narrative where they can identify with the "good guy" to feel justified in all their prejudices about the world. I don't know if it's more a symptom of how polarized everything is nowadays, or if it's actually *contributing* to that mentality itself, maybe a little of both?

This was beautiful, and amazingly well done on your part. I loved the "The Red Book of Westmarch" detail. For those who don't know, that is the name given in universe to Bilbo's and later Frodo's and finally Sam's journal/memoirs, where they tell the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the RIngs, and - again, in universe- was studied and translated by Tolkien, and then published as The Hobbit and LoTR. It's just a silly little thing, but I loved that bit.

I just wanted to say, I recently found this channel and have been thoroughly impressed and satisfied :> After listening to the same creepypasta narrator for years and years, I started finding the story selection to be stale, and figured I started to grow out of creepypastas. But after listening to the No Sleep Radio for a few nights as I sewed, I've developed a whole new interest that I haven't felt since I was a kid..!! I absolutely LOVE the story selection here, and I totally missed hearing sound effects. I work as a professional dog bather and work with all kinds of dogs, so it honestly really surprised me that the dog sound effect you used was actually one that belonged to a pug or pug-type dog specifically, I feel like a lot of creators wouldn't have gone to that extra length for the immersion and it's astounding that you do! In this, I loved the variation of the history..Robert Kennedy nickel,etc.. I honestly thought that Christine went crazy. When she started lying to real scott, and the way he describes her. Then it’s almost like other scott gains his senses back,is remorseful,etc.. while Christine didn’t try to help fight those ppl off real scott, the other scott did, and going back to kill those ppl to make sure they can’t make the door was admirable. And real Scott’s offer to come back- she would have left real scott anyways!! but she failed to take any blame on herself,while she was with other scott, she was blabbing about everything she could, but mad at real scott and all of this being his fault because he spoke of her..🤔also it made me sad to know that the little girl didn’t seem to care if they did kill her..and that speaks volumes on this other world! Thanks for another banger in the books!!

I love multiversal and apocalyptic stories so this definitely was right up my alley however I found myself having a profound dislike for Christine but that just means it was well written enough to make me feel that for a fictitious character. Whoever does the voice acting for the female character did a phenomenal job as always you guys make a great pair

This really defied my expectations. Your portrayal was great! Very interesting glimpse into a compelling world. I'd love to see more from this author if it exists. I have to say it genuinely adds SO MUCH to the narrative that he explained why the other accounts were included in his story. No stories really do that if they switch perspective, but it helped to not break immersion here.

I also was wondering if u could do more quote on quote wholesome content like all the stars in the sky, they seem to stick in my mind a lot longer than more disturbing content, even though there all amazing and I’m always waiting excitedly for your next upload the disturbing stories are easy to forget.

Thank you for the last few years; one for the wonderful narrations of these stories and two for getting me back into composing orchestral pieces.
