Dave Simpson and Chris buck possibly the best two players in Europe as far as artistic playing goes, I'm not a shred fan, that does nothing for me. What an amazing time were living in when we're direct in the artists house at the click of a button, free of charge or you can contribute if you feel moved.

Morning Dave came across your channel on KZbin on Friday and have done almost nothing on my weekend off but listen to your guitar playing through my headphones you have stirred my desire to start learning the guitar again ,brought a Mexican strat just over 2 years ago to start learning but a week after buying it I almost cut of my index finger with a saw and that put pay to that , so I sold it thinking that was the end ,now able to bend my finger almost as normal as before and watching your review of the squire bullit strat has moved me to buy one and begin again, I am 63 but they say you never to old to learn ,have you any wisdom to pass on and the best place to learn and what to learn first as their is so many KZbin videos on learning to play that it gives you brain freeze. When I get in from work tonight I will be back searching your channel for more great guitar playing what a British legend you are 👍🏻

Its like Hans Zimmer and Michael Kamen were having coffee in a café on the street in say, Paris, and John Williams joined them. Jan Hammer was walking by and everyone was feeling the groove, and unmistakable vibe of get us to studio. Someone said I'm going to Twin Studio's in a hour, lets all go. It's not far, Hans stop that taxi. Driver, Av. du Maréchal Maunoury, 75016 - something special is going to be captured this evening. It was Dave, locked and loaded and ready to soar to astral heights one track on to the next. Next we know, "Longing For You" flows out of the NS-10's and then the larger JBL "what ta ya call them" 43406p studio monitors. We're nearing a Kubrick mood now, we ebb & flow, warm up them cool again as we cycle through Dave's musical journey, as we are only passengers along for the ride.

So many moods here, from contemplative (Empty Road & Are You There?) through "Heavy Rock Surfing" (The Wave) to happy funky reggae (Down the Road) and beyond (Looking for You & I'm not there) to some classic sounding "Forever" blues that Hendrix would have been happy to record to the "Alternative" madness of Hold Tight - seeming to be a comment on the war in Ukraine as "Machine Gun" was to Vietnam. It's a '65 reissue bruv, not a '64. They never made a '64 reissue and pearloid inlays weren't even around in '64. The guitar you're holding is a 1965 American Vintage Reissue. The last of the AVRI's before they were discontinued for the American Original series... which, it _could_ be an American Original "60's" model. Serial number will tell for sure.

That’s just the terminology used for that type of fretboard. In 1962 fender stopped using the extremely thick rosewood “slab board” and went to a much thinner curved board nicknamed the veneer board.
