Wes, Great video and content as always!! You mention to only have 2 links in your description at most, what about videos from lets say woodworkers, that provide links (affiliate links) to the tools and equipment they use? How do you think that affects the viewers? Is it too much info/distractions in the description?
@WesMcDowellInc7 күн бұрын
Id focus on the couple links that apply most to that particular video. Cheers!

As always, the best by Wes! Quick question: Would two videos per week be enough for my channel?

Yep! I've heard it said that 2 is the perfect schedule for YT growth.

This is excellent information. I have a couple of important questions for you about KZbin. (I use it to generate leads for my law firm). If you post a new video, how many of your subscribers will be notified of the video. Also in the first hour how important is VPH to the success of your video?
@leonardboyer76018 күн бұрын
Thank you, but can you please answer my questions as well. Kind regards, Leonard
@WesMcDowellInc8 күн бұрын
Great questions Leonard! Its actually a lot less about subscribers being notified... I dont have any hard data on how many get notified, but its much more likely that your regular viewers (whether they're subscribed or not) will see your video on their homepage. first hour, first 3 hours and first 24 hours are important for sure, but I've seen videos take off at super random time too, like over 100 days old.
@leonardboyer76018 күн бұрын
@@WesMcDowellInc Thanks for your help and the information. I had heard that only a percentage of subscribers are notified. I can't do anything until next year, but do you have programs available to work with content creators? Thanks again.

I love your videos Wes, thanks for putting out such valuable content. One query, do you outsource your video editing or do it in-house? If so, what software/combination have you found most helpful to speed up the editing process? Thank you.

I disagree with you about titles, and here's why. If your title is based on a YT or Google search phrase it will get buried because MOST people base their titles on YT or Google search phrases. They've been taught by 'gurus' to do this for a decade now. This only works if your video is based on search phrases that are new and un-saturated, which usually means TRENDING topics. If you write a title like "How to fix a flat tire," you're going to get buried by videos with millions of views. Instead, you absolutely want to use a HOOK based title like "The #1 Mistake When Fixing A Flat Tire," and then focus on getting suggested by KZbin within the interest graph of viewers you're looking to reach. (This is actually much more important) How to accomplish this is a secret I won't tell, but it can be done. Your title is a perfect example. It's not what people are searching for: "How to grow my business in 2025," or "How to grow any business." It's This KZbin System Will Explode Any Business in 2025. Which is much better, bust still not enough of a hook IMO.
