I think a lot of the internet went batshit crazy over the title of the article when if you truly follow them you would just see 2 really close friends and they probably have always wanted to do a pictorial together in a magazine and finally they got to do it. I am pretty sure people are fascinated by their dynamic because mew dropped everything multiple times last year in order to visit Tul in New York, and for them to travel together. Mew-Tul is an interesting case study of media image. On paper, they are similar people; both are super educated, articulate, and have had the spotlight on them. But while it all went sideways for Mew after all the negative press around Mew-Gulf and Mew-Art and his music video that was taken down because of plagiarism, I think Tul's public image is fairly intact especially since in terms of publicity the last time we saw him he was talking about surviving Bell's Palsy etc. I'm not saying that Mew and Tul are not genuinely friends, I'd argue they'd have to be to spend all this time together. But I feel like there's always a business reason to spend all this time, and effort and money especially when you remember that Tul announced his retirement from acting. So I guess we wait for an announcement of something? Also sorry, not sorry but this whole media blitz they are on seems deliberately queerbaity - they both definitely understand this. Like yes, back in the day who would have ever thought Tharn and Knock / Dr Bun would be a thing? Tul was known for being friends with Tay and there's videos of TayNew and MaxTul hanging out. So Mew came out of left field - at least publicly. While I loved TharnType, Max and Tul are my BL Kings - I love them. On a completely different tangent, getting a second season for a show is a big deal in Thailand. I think their business model is more along the lines of Korea - where a show is usually thought of as having just the single season in terms of storytelling which in turn influences how they approach sponsors etc. It is only if your show is THAT BIG that you get to make a second season. You know, what would be groundbreaking? A Fluke Natouch - Earth Katsamonnat or something similar (Gun/War?) pairing.

I stated my opinion, but I wouldn't say fanatic. I feel like some of the BL actors are very much on the 1 or 2 year contract agreement where they agree to be seen together: events, magazines, etc. and then after they don't want to be connected with that person/genre at all. It's giving very fake, quick way to gain an audience and then they bounce. I think it's going to be interesting to see how the BL genre in Thailand evolves in the next couple of years.
