Majority of the water in brahmaputra comes from indian side mountains not tibbet,just because a river originate in one region does not mean all it's water comes from there, a big river is formed when many small rivers merge together, there is no need for worry of water shortage we can reduce Bangladesh supply but we need to make sure that we have enough dams to prevent artificial flooding in case china tries to do that.

Vital Points missed(Intentionally?) by Deshbhakt: 1) India also plans to make 2nd largest Dam in Yingkiong, Arunachal Pradesh. 2) 75% of Water on Brahmaputra comes from Arunachal and rest from Tibet. 3) India also plans to make numerous large reservoir to store water to mitigate China's water bomb. 4) This reservoir can also help India during dry season. (**)But India is not like China where they can build anything they like without local's and environmentalist's consent. But in India these groups already are actively opposing all of these projects. SUMP issue is one of the major issues in State right now. Last year multiple protest and dharna were conducted on the issue. Even last month on Dec. 2024 the effected people 3000 approx. held a protest rally against SUMP and State govt. CRPFs are being deployed. But no national media covered it.
