Do you know if the first temple gets busy, or is it the slow season?

It's the tail end of rainy season so it could be that but it's also so big that even if it were crowded it felt easier to move around. Likely a long line to see the sleeping Buddha in peak season but the rest of the temple is navigable

Everywhere else we've seen people just find a peaceful corner to smoke. So long as it's not disturbing others I don't think any one cares where you smoke here.
