Great video! I delivered wine and beer in Alexandria and surrounding area for about 5 years. So many great spots out there… I loved The Chart House (water views) , Virtue Feed & Grain, Chadwick’s, Landini Bros…. Planet Wine is my favorite little wine shop. All those parks on the water…. Glad y’all enjoyed!!!

Those sound like great spots! A lot of things by the waterfront were closed when we were there because of the flooding that happened, but we'd had a lot of great recommendations for next time.

Thanks for the video. Loved living in Old Town Alexandria. Lots of good places to eat, close walk to the Metrorail and Amtrak, great atmosphere. We still visit every once in a while; only 30 miles from our current home.

@@TheDetourDuo smaller old town area, but packed with a lot of restaurants. Farmers market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Lots of festivals, celebrations and summer concerts.

Alexandera does look so charming. The food looks delicious but my favorite are the pretty colorful buildings. Lol that sandwich was super hot 🥵 😂 love the holiday decor. The trolleys is a nice touch.

From a person who live in Alexandria all their life I can explain. Alexandria is solely for families or retired people. It was a cute place to take ur high school dates at but their is no night life. The restaurant there are nice and its so fun when summer times they have events but its rlly not all that when DC is a bridge away. If ur in ur 20s trying to have fun old town is not the place. Not much of franchises in the area which is unique about it. I would say it is beautiful but maybe cause I lived there for so long it doesn't impress me anymore

There are apparently three others in Alexandria but this one is the smallest one. We overheard a tour as they walked by. They said this place is valued at 560k. Insane!

So much praise! Thank you. The trick with the zooming image is with Photoshop. It's not hard, but a lot to explain lol. Basically clean select myself out and export just the image of myself as a .png then I need too I can content aware fill or clone stamp the background and export that as a single layer. When you import them both as separate photos you can move them at different speeds.

Great video. We are visiting for the first time the DC area. Any suggestions where to stay for example; should we be anchored in DC (downtown or Georgetown etc.) the entire time or should we split our stay between Alexandria and Annapolis and rent a car? Not sure if Annapolis is more of a day trip vs staying for a few days. Alexandria and Annapolis offer the quintessential charm that we adore. We are foodies and enjoy nature. Hope to see fall foliage. Do some touristy stuff in DC. Any tips would be great, we are not tethered to anything. Travel dates: 10/30 - 11/6.

If you want to see annapolis, just know it's about 45 mins away from DC. The best bet is probably to find an Airbnb in Alexandria, and you can take the water taxi over to DC for really cheap. That way you wouldn't need a car and it will be cheaper than getting a hotel in DC. If you want to see annapolis, then you're looking at a $75 Uber ride. In that case, renting a car for the day could be cheaper. Don't know if that helps. I kind of rambled a bit

This place is fucking disgusting and fucking terrible. Not because there aren't things to do or a bad place to live or really poor, but the people are extremely annoying, rude, bullies, mean trash and bad and plain. If you're a great guy living here who is beautiful and kind, don't expect much kindness from people here and treat you right or give you good comments. People are selfish here. But, it's a good place to live for education, money, jobs and a lot of things to do.
