Originally called “The Fairy Village”, the site was actually a roadside attraction and ornamental garden along the very busy trolley line that ran from Waterbury, through Middlebury, and into Quassy Lake Resort from 1908 to 1929.

The reason it stopped being used is cause the gas station failed due to no one going out of their way to get gas and to see the village. He was going to turn it into a nursery but never did. Might also explain the piping, you need water for the plants.

The throne looks like a water fountain. Why would a throne have a pipe sized hole in it. Would explain all the piping other than it being a gas station. The gas station owner also had lighting in the houses so it would light up at night which also explains piping for wiring perhaps.

Very interesting and thanks for sharing! I am actually a psychic and I was definitely picking up some visuals of some kind of little folks community, if it was part of a theme park I would venture to say that fairies, little folk definitely took full advantage of it! :) I believe that some of the suggested water pipes were actually spy holes of some kind? I would love to visit this enchanting little village one day, I think it's awesome! Thanks again! :) Boo xx

I grew up in Cheshire, it was well know what this was from the older people I talked to. Originally called “The Fairy Village”, the site was actually a roadside attraction and ornamental garden along the very busy trolley line that ran from Waterbury, through Middlebury, and into Quassy Lake Resort from 1908 to 1929.

Wasn't part of a theme park at all and was not for fairies or little people. It was to get people to go to the gas station after the new highway bypassed the gas station. Simple logical and truthful. Yet people keep making up lies about it.

The constant movement of the camera was frustrating, as he went past little houses you didn't even get to see. Other people also do this...moving the camera all over, even at their feet or a street and not focus on the thing one is suppose to see.

I used to live in Waterbury had family in Middlebury. Went to this place. It's creepy. Park Road going towards the golf course had evil energy in those woods in certain parts too.

No mystery about this place at all. It was a gas station and the owner built a village to try to attract more business. The houses had light bulbs in them so they would be lit up at night. I haven't seen it in your video yet but there is also a lighthouse that was lit up at night.

Frank Rizzo your probably wrong, he lost his gas station business because he destroyed this people place and he built and Village for them to make it UP but he fail to please them because eventually he wants to be The king and they didnt like it, remember they always wants something In return but he didnt want to give one OF member OF his family.

That place has taking a beating, since I been there last. Did you know the brother of the man who built holy land , built little peoples. And if memory servers me,(the story was) when you sit on the throne you had 7 seconds to wish death on another person, or you would die in 7 years.

If this village was detailed, then it must of been for real. And it must of been for a real fairies to live in. Or why someone would go ahead and built something like that?
